Finally managed to fit it. Works great. Although a higher res screen would make it really shine. In the process I managed to dislodge the trim behind the rear door. Any idea how to put it back in place. The clips that holds it really look that the trim need to be fully removed before it can be reused again.

A quick question before i break something. How do i remove this connector from gas strut on the tailgate. I tried to un screw it but it wont move and im afraid it will break if i apply to much force. Im trying to add some spring for auto tailgate opening mod.

How much spare cable is left when you route cable under the roof lining on the passenger site? I have rubber cable tube that connects tailgate and body only on the opposite side (driver side). Do i need another cable tube or is the cable that comes with camera long enough. @SashaGrace

Routing it on a passenger side righ where there no cable conduit between boot door and body. Just my luck 😔. Then i need to partially dislodge c colum and b colum trim to be able to get some space behind roof lineing. Remove a colum trim and side cover on the dash. How delicate is the roof lineing? Easily broken?

How annoying is not having a wash on a cam? It probably gets dirty very fast if the road is a bit damp or dusty? Cant decide if i should go the highline or .. .... budget line Do high line camera need coding in addition to parameter file being loaded in to them?

Do i need any other connectors, or is all there?. Since my screen is 6.5", 720p camera is fine? Or should i look for 1080P? Also is this set of tools for removing plastic panels to route cables ok? Do I need any other special tools for glove box removal? TOOLS Thank you for the help

Yeah makes sense. You would need to change gear ratio or wheel size to change the speed.

i have a question about remaps of a TDI. Is my understanding correct that by increasing the torque with the remap, you need lower rpm to archive the same speed as before the remap. So after the remap the car should in turn be a bit more quiet and the mpg should be better? Does that makes sense?

The car has MIB2 system (5Q0035840B, smart link and voice commands present), with 6.5" screen if that makes any difference.

Hi everyone. After long time just visiting and reading the forum I decide to finally join and hopefully make my MK3 better. After 3 years of owning Octy Mk3 I think Im ready for first mod. I would like to add a RVC. Im looking at two cameras First one is the one with moving lines FIRST ONE The second one is without moving lines. (720P is the right one?) SECOND ONE They both are the right size for the hole size. Car is MY2016. It appears they come with different cabling. I m guessing the second one without moving lines, is much easier to install and code. How much more difficult is to install and code the first one? Also could anyone link a good set of tools for removing plastic panels and covers and for making the installation and easy as possible. Also do both cameras include all the parts needed? Also any good tips for installation are welcomed. BR M
