  1. I've just heard this noise from my car, not as severe yet but its pretty much the same noise. Cars only done 8500 miles (2020 reg).
  2. Had a pleasant surprise on the way to work this morning when Android Auto kicked in, it seems to have had a makeover, now it splits the screen into 3 sections, google maps on the right, music with album art on the lower left and quick destination select in the upper left. Also all the button that were hard to reach for the driver have been stacked over to the right hand side right next to the wheel. Pressing on any of the sections will take you to the full screen version e.g. press on the maps and it expands to full size. Nice!
  3. My Karoq (2020) has rear air vents in the back of the arm rest. However from the AC menu on the infotainment I can see the rear seats are not selected and when pressing that button nothing happens it just stays on front. I have turned the dial both ways on the vents themselves which makes no difference. Is there some magic to get warm/cold air to come out of these vents?
  4. I had this yesterday. Slightly annoying as I regularly use the ACC on motorway driving, in fact it's one of the best features for me. Then after about 20 mins of driving it came back by itself. I've already had my steering wheel replaced for the Travel Assist Unavailable bong.
  5. Just to feedback, my car went to the dealership for the Steering wheel issue (not detecting hands on wheel, bonging randomly, new wheel fitted) and they found there were several software updates needed (SOS and Infotainment). This fixed the SOS problem and the Infotainment/SatNav hasn't had a brain fart since either. Only 1 issue since which was unrelated (Oil temp sender broke, sluggish performance, yellow triangle) but that was replaced. So far all is good.
  6. I suspect I have a low battery as well, stop/start rarely kicks in. I got the car in Dec 20 and because of Covid couldn't drive it much so it had a bad start in life. Now most of my journeys are short also. After it had come back from the dealer for something else recently Start/Stop was kicking in loads so I guess they charged the battery for me, but quickly it went back to its normal of not doing it unless I do a much longer journey. When the battery is nicely charged the speed/smoothness of the re-start is much better also, when it's low the re-starts can be downright sluggish and dangerous sometimes.

    VIOFO A129 - still haven't fitted the rear camera 😞 https://viofouk.co.uk/product/a129-pro-dual-dashcam-front-rear/
  8. So after the dealer visit, it's a new steering wheel and they did the SOS software fix. All in all happy so far.
  9. I've just noticed on the Job Sheet there is a diagnostic fee of £131, surely that can't be right for warranty stuff?
  10. So in the end it didn't cure it, seems to be speed hump or movement activated, I have the car booked in at the stealers.
  11. Thanks all, I noticed this started after a wash at the weekend so I thought the car was clean. I ran the windscreen washer for a bit and the wipers and so far it seems cured.
  12. Just recently my car has been 'bing bonging' loads telling me Travel Assist is not available. Like it will bing bong 7 or 8 times on a short journey. Something come loose? Anything I can check before I go to a dealership?
  13. You can also swipe the door handle sensor a few seconds after locking the car with the fob to disable Kessy. A soon as I'm home I dump the keys out of my pocket as I'm paranoid about buttons being pressed accidentally.
  14. Thanks Chris, I looked in the app and it says 361 days or 14,500miles until Oil change/Service Inspection so it looks like I'm on variable servicing. I just need to buy a 1ltr oil top up as I think it's used a small amount which, from what I can make out, is most likely to be the VW 508 00 0-20 LL IV.
  15. Yes I get this quite often tbh. Once the SOS error has arrived I've also had the Satnav can go crazy on one occasion with its location completely wrong, but more often the infotainment gets stuck on Loading Profile. On that particular journey I had to put my mobile on the instrument cluster and use google maps. I will probably go and see the dealer about it shortly, but it's intermittent so no doubt going to be difficult to get anything done about it.
