@DuncanW remote ventilation works for you? I was wondering and asked about this featuer my dealer where i bought the car and i was told that this option (remote ventilation) is only available for either IV version or if you have Webasto in your car ... on mine DSG Style (no Webasto) i do not have any option whatsoever in the app... if it works for you, can you give a printscreen of the app showing that option?

i did not check the data usage, but i am sure it uses less data than an average yt videos. Have 70gb allowance and haven't come nowhere near the edge, with heavy use of YT and other social media services. Though you have to be carefull if travelling abroad and you have no free roaming data availabe.

i have a strange noise on a left door mirror as well but no solution to fix it yet...will report that on my next visit to the garage

internet radio works just fine for me. No need for Cubic data plan, you just need to use your phone mobile data as a hotspot. Thats it.

As far as i know there are no settings beside the little knob on the ACC stick by which you can regulate the distance sensitivity between you and a vehice infront of you. Though i have that set on the minimum distance as even minimum setting is still too much for me. I cant imagine having it set on max and driving on the highway, it "reads" the car jumping infront of you waaaay tooo far infront of you... Also what i dislike about the ACC is when i use it in daily traffic and when it stops on the traffic light, i have a feeling it leaves too much space between me and a vehicle infront, sometimes you could fit additional car (e.g. Clio or similar size) inbetween. I wonder if that can be regulated by the garage? Will ask upon my next trip over there...

Would agree on that. Unless it is a part of some bundle package it is not worth paying extra just for that.

hmm i never tought about that but now it's slowely getting clearer for me... i got my car on 28.8.2020 and had issues with assistance system errors practically since day 1. I dont even count how many times i've gone to dealer to resolve these issues (haven't complained about BT issue though)...Every time my car was being tested and updated with latest updates but no luck. Errors kept poping out. Since there was among errors one saying that SOS call is not working they also replaced the hardware (don't know how it is called) under the SOS and service buttons but neither did that help. I still have errors poping out. On my last "visit" to Škoda 2 weeks ago they decided to change one more part, don't know exactly where it belongs, but they reffered at it (in Slovene = krmilnik) as a "controller". For the timebeing i received a replacement car but since nothing happened in 4 days time i wanted some answers what the hell is going on with that controller replacement. They said that controller is out of stock, since so many cars have that issue and that they are waiting for it to get back on stock. For Slovenia a regional storage is located in Austria but there is no stock not even there. So i returned the replacemnet car and took mine back and now i am already waiting 8 days since than and still no stock nowhere.... And now I wonder, when eventually that controller gets replaced, could it be that i will have a newer device part number (ending in D, E, ...)?? I will give feedback here!

Those updates are done only by authorised dealers, only minor infotainment updates are available via in car updates...as far as i am informed

Not true. It can connect also while the car is off and infotainment system on

There is an option in the settings menu where you can decide weather you want the PCC to be active, e.g. To accelarate or deccelarate according to the spead limits or if you just want it to show you and preset the speed limit on the speed dial. I find it useful to be turned on on the unknown roads so that speed limit cant surprise me

There is a day when i have to do it over and over again whenever i turn on the car. On the other hand i get through days when there is no such issue and it connects automatically. And i cant get to the bottom of it. Hope sw update (eventually) to 1788 deals with it once and forever I have Huawei P20pro with Android10

Same issue here. It connects randomly, not always. I just turn the car bluetooth off and on again and it connects automatically. SW version 1668

Well that sums up everything. Unfortunatelly it is really up to you to do the homework when specing up your new car and not relying on anyone on sellers side. I had to lear that myself too... When i was specing my Octavia at the time being i knew MUCH more than the seller about every and each option in the configurator, even so that i found couple of big mistakes in the configurator which were than changed. Sure, when buying a car of 30+ k € youd expect the sales person to know every detail and that they would keep reminding you of each detail but we are still not there... Anyway i hope you find some solution in the aftermarket.

Looking into configurator on official Skoda site Ambition level has front and rear fog lights while Active level has only rear fog lights. Stupid question but are you sure they delivered Ambition level speced car? Is everything else as it should be with the Ambition line?

Well its a PCC indeed. Downside of reaction to traffic signs is that it sometimes reads the wrong speed limit, e.g. When driving on a highway and when passing by the exits sometimes it reads the speed limit sign mentioned for the exit path, which can be quite dangerous if you are driving 130km/h and is suddenly shifts to 60 or 40 km/h... Otherwise i find it rather usefull.

Yes it does react to speed signs. If you have ACC.

sorry for borrowing this topic... Anyone knows what is the database that is used for providing podcasts in web radio? The choice of podcasts is rather low and i cant find not even one of which i do like to listen (via google podcasts or apple podcasts). Otherwise internet radio works fine for me, except for some occasional hickups

well yeah, but the feeling is not good....i haven't had even one issue during 5 years of owning a PSA concern car with LED lights though...when i decided to buy Škoda i was reading about issue with condense on MK3 models and i was hoping this wont be an issue with MK4... will keep monitoring

I have that issue...haven't had it from the start, but noticed it just recently. Yesterday my car was washed while being serviced at the dealers shop and i noticed the condensation inside the rear left direction light. I also had condensation in the front left light and fog light, but its gone now... i hope this does not become another issue with my car

haha r u kidding? no way i'm givin' 50€ for that...though i don't know which collors you get. If someone bought it , please share

in Slovenia i just have an option to buy additional ambient light colors for 50€ and to buy data plan from Cubic network. Otherwise there is an option to resuscribe to Care Connect and Infotainment Online which obviously i dont need to do yet. I would gues there will be some other things to buy down the road
