  1. Picked up our brand new Kamiq yesterday, noticed there was an main user account setup on the infotainment system named 'SKODA SKODA', would it be wise to remove this account and create my own or leave it and make another? Just wondering if I was to delete the main account if it messed up any connected services? Also it was set with 'Share my location' as well which I thought was a bit creepy TIA.
  2. Update: The ship is en route to the UK! Should be in the UK on the tomorrow (25th Feb)!
  3. Update: Some good news at last! My Kamiq is at the Port of Emden of Exit. Question is how long does it take to get the UK? The member of staff at Skoda UK Customer Service said it could take up to 10 working days - I thought this was bit too good to be true! TIA.
  4. Looks like orders will be delayed further with this news! https://europe.autonews.com/suppliers/skoda-cuts-shifts-due-lack-chips
  5. These 1.0TSI's must of been a very popular choice, cause I have noticed people have received their 1.5's a lot quicker than those who have ordered the 1.0ltr variant.
  6. Thanks! Yeah, that's true! Didn't help that they didn't have any stock vehicles left over when I ordered and apparently they said that they ran out of stock on the 1.0TSI DSG's. It'll be defo worth the wait, I test drove two Kamiq's, one 1.0TSI SE manual and 1.5TSI DSG SEL (which the bloke at the dealer didn't tell me it was a 1.5, he told me it was a 1.0ltr - which kind of annoyed me cause I said I wanted to test drive only a 1ltr DSG), didn't find the manual as joyous as the DSG, didn't like the gearbox too much on the manual, little bit long shifting for my liking. But wow, that 1.5TSI is like a rocket! The Kamiq is a wonderful car, like you said with the drivers position, nice commanding view out, not too many blind spots - an all-round great car for it's size. The only thing I forgot to add was Dual Zone climate control, but I found it a bit finicky with the fact you had to press 'Menu' and then use the touchscreen to adjust the fan speed, as opposed to turning a dial - so in some ways I was glad I didn't really add it as an option, although for the price point it should be standard, like it is on the Seat Arona, but I digress... We're really happy with it as it is on the SE trim, offers bang-for-your-buck so to speak - just hoping it will be built on the 8th Feb! 🤞
  7. Update on my build. Didn't arrive on the intended 31st December 2020. Messaged Skoda UK on Monday and they have said that the build week is unconfirmed for the 8th February 2021. Going to message them again at the end of January-beginning of February to see if this date has turned into a confirmed build week. 🤞
  8. Hmm, I wonder if that would void the warranty if I was to do that myself
  9. That's a shame! It's a bit odd how Skoda has made it difficult to replace the front indicator bulbs. Looking at this assembly, it looks like this panel comes off? Not 100% sure...
  10. Does anyone know what type of bulb it is for the indicator bulbs? Thinking of getting some LED ones - cheers!
  11. I've test driven two different Kamiq's (1.0l SE with 6spd and SEL with DSG 7spd) in October 2020 and haven't experienced any issues with the Lane Assist feature. I don't find it intrusive whatsoever - just a neat feature that can help especially on longer journeys. So in terms of these errors and faults... perhaps it's down to the particular builds or like previously mentioned above, they may have updated the radar and/or the software/firmware to compensate this? The Dealer would defiantly have to investigate with this further.
  12. I ended up ordering these on Amazon, as they look more tidier than a right angle cable - cheaper too!
  13. Hardwiring your dashcam would be highly beneficial, because they usually come with a built in voltage checker, so it cuts the supply to the dashcam if the battery reaches a voltage below 12volts.
  14. Oh dear! Probably the worst time to buy a new car this year - nevermind!
  15. My dealer must be telling me porkies! I got told mine will be here either the end of December or the first few weeks on January 2021! Order was placed on the 3rd of October.
  16. Order got accepted the other day for my Kamiq, how long usually does it take for it to get a build week assigned? TIA.
  17. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the horn was s**te! Not sure why Škoda decided to make the horn less dignified.
  18. I'm interested also! Would like to use my old LED indicator bulbs off my Octavia on my Kamiq (when it comes... 💀)
  19. 05' Skoda Octavia 1.9TDI PD 105 - Cornwall!
  20. Good job it's only certain Scala's & Kamiq's!
  21. Fair enough, it just helps to see what other people were told haha. Especially the person I posted above, he was told up to 30 weeks from people that have ordered from the 1st October 2020! Don't think I could wait that long haha xD
  22. That's not too bad, I've been quoted on the 30th September from my dealer and he said anything between six to twelve weeks! Was asking around about in other communities and one guy said this... (He's from Czech Republic)
  23. Cheers! Gives me a rough estimate when I'm likely to receive mine :P
