  1. So in other words a single din radio should fit straight in by the sounds of it. What's the best way to remove the standard radio?
  2. I unplugged the window motor and the windows work fine now. I've cleaned and sprayed all the connectors as well. The circuit board inside the motor cleaned that as well as the motor coil to.
  3. The fuel filter on the skoda fabia 1.4 tdi do you just unplug the pipes, pull fuse out for pump while running, drain fuel somewhere? Thanks
  4. My front 2 windows are playing up both sides. You unplug the sockets on the drivers loom by the door and it works again most times or disconnecting the battery. It was working fine for 2 weeks and now just stopped. The fuses are all good I will have to take the door card of driver side and have a look. The control modules are these just on the motors or is there a separate main one for controlling both units as well?
  5. I managed to fix the mech I got a replacement. The main problem I had I drilled everything out and you only need to do the metal panel on the door.
  6. You got a link to where you bought yours from? Thanks
  7. The skoda fabia mk1 are there any face plates trim to convert to standard single din radio? The main reason my radio the power button when bought the car snapped. I managed to get it out but the spindle gone. The second hand standard radio are not cheap either. Thanks

  12. I've noticed the front headlamps plastic going yellow a little bit. I know there things that can clear this up. So what's the best and cheapest options? There also anyway to protect them from going yellowing once cleaned up? Thanks
  13. I had the same problem I had to smash out the deadlock recently back door skoda fabia. I did this by using pliers, grips, chisle and hammer. I managed to brake it up till I could feel the casing braking of then felt cogs inside the deadlock. You get to a point where you remove so much then you able to move the cable attached to the lock to open the door once the deadlock been destroyed.
  14. I removed everything and the only thing left was the window and white plastic connector. I didn't removed the dowl it slide down the mech. I drilled out all the rivets to get the metal cover of the door.
  15. Hello I've fitted a new deadlock and now need to re fit the window mech back in place. I can see how the slider goes back in to the white clip but the 2 cables are tight. There any good vids or pictures showing this re fit? Manual rear window. Thanks
  16. Hello I had to smash out the rear deadlock due to it failing. But the 2 screws ends where shot that attach to the door. I had to drill these out to fit the new deadlock complete. The 2 screws I'm using are bolt ends the heads to big for socket to go on to. I put these on temp to fit in place to get the door open just with finger tight. So I'm looking for the correct 2 screws that fit in the door to hold the door lock in place. I have a link below if this is the right 2 screws? link https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/18d837359a-screw-m8x22-skoda-24533.html Thanks

  18. So the 505.01 oil will need service shorter. The 507.00 oil can be extended from what's being shown below. What's the mileage difference between the 2? Thanks
  19. My typo mistake. So I will get oil with 505.01 and 507.00 standard spec. I will then choose either 5w30 or 5w40 oil. I will go with fully synthetic. I know PD engines are very fussy with oils that's why I've had to make sure its going to be right.
  20. So I can get oil with 501 01 standard spec and choose either 5w30 or 5w40 oil. So does the fully or semi synthetic make a difference on these engines. The mk1 skoda fabia 1.4 tdi mk1 2006 on mine just got a cat no dpf.
  21. Hello what grades of engine oil fine for a skoda fabia 1.4 tdi 2006? This fully or semi synthetic oil? Thanks
  22. So the part number has to match even if its from the same model cars?
  23. I will check that fuse again thanks
  24. Hello there a easy guide or way to test the electric window motor?
  25. Hello the electric windows have started playing up. I changed the switch on the driver side and it worked fine along with the passenger one due to being warn out. I watched a film clip on utube how to make the windows work again by un plugging the connector in the driver door loom. I do this the windows work fine but soon as you switch the engine of the problem back unless you unplug the connector again. So is there a control or relay box problem on these cars? Skoda fabia 1.4 tdi 2006 Thanks
