Hi all, I’ve just had a letter from LEX with a recall for my iV. It sounds pretty serious but then says no danger in “regular driving”. 🤔 what’s irregular driving? 😂 “In the event of a short circuit in the high-voltage system, the fuse blows and interrupts the current flow as intended but it could burst. As a result there is the possibility of a voltage flashover into the vehicle interior. This creates a fire hazard and possible risk of injury to the vehicle occupants”. It reads like they will add a second protective mat during the recall works. just wondered if anyone else has had this yet and if you’ve been able to get the work done? I contacted the local high voltage service centre and I’m on a waiting list I believe.

Hi there, Is there a way of simply asking Laura to navigate to a city / town? When I try and name the town, it then wants a street, but last night I was on back roads in the middle of nowhere and needed to change route, so just wanted it to take me to a local town I knew, but I didn’t know any street names in that town, and so it would give me a route . Can you do this? cheers,

Hi there, I have a 2020 Superb IV. I use the MySkoda App and have tried sending a navigation designation / route a few times to the car from my phone prior to driving. It seems to get sent ok but no idea how to get the route in the nav app on the car. It’s not showing and I don’t see an option to retrieve / download destinations and routes? Anyone got this working? Cheers.

Hi there. Is there an issue with the MySkoda app? It’s asking me to validate my car but it just says it can’t do it. Been like it for days now. I’ve deleted and reinstalled app. Tried to delete and add car again but nothing works. Is it like that for anyone else?

Erik99, thanks for the reply. I’m glad it’s not just me being daft. As you say, the whole surround doesn’t seem a very good design and with my sloping drive, it really collects rain water when charging. I assume it’s no issue, but just doesn’t seem right having ponded water next to high voltage connections.

I picked my Superb iV up just before Christmas and whilst I’ve only done short runs, it seems a really nice car so far. One quick question - has anyone tried putting the protective ring on the charger yet to stop it freezing? We’re currently having snow / icy weather and so I tried it today, but I’m not sure it was fitted correctly as the picture in the instructions looked a little different and also the car wouldn’t attach to the charger. Anyone got it working? If so could you upload a picture please? Cheers.
