I entered a complaint with Skoda UK. They will tell you to take it to a dealer. They will run a diagnostic. Mine came back with nothing wrong! (Nit having a problem with the mph/kph). Skoda UK closed the case! Said they couldn't do anything if it was not thrown up in the diagnostic. There is no 'fix'/recall planned at the moment apparently.

Cool. It is good to know that we do not have to connect anything up and that it should update itself.

Jmagee, am I right in thinking it should update without you having to pay Skoda for the WiFi? You should just be able to update whenever?

Thanks for this. It seems then that you get a very good deal in terms of equipment with the First Edition. Perhaps that is to entice people to buy into a new car that often experiences teething problems. Once those are identified, Skoda spec less generously for roughly the same price. Interesting.

MCG thanks for this does yours work no problem? I used a normal memory stick and I noticed my whole infotainment system kept freezing and restarting. Since taking the USB stick out, I have not experienced any problems. It could be a coincidence as it was during the cold period but i am keen to get my music left in the car rather than use my phone.

I get exactly the same. Works fine when connected through the usb-c port but this is exactly what I get when trying to run wireless. Strange that it connects to the phone through Bluetooth okay but not android auto.

That does help. Seems I am on solid ground to return if they do not sort the issue on Tuesday. Thank you for your help. Sad thing is, I really like the car, but no good if the system that helps work it doesn't work!

I didn't get to test drive no. I just want the damn thing to work! I will see what they say on the return. If they don't sort it, I will tell them what I am thinking of doing and log everything (I can't drive anywhere to log anything at the moment due to the rstrictions). Will just keep my fingers crossed they fix it. Apparently, you get 30 days. The system must have had problems before and they didn't admit, unless it is just the cold.

Bought my SEL first edition on 31st Dec (demonstrator, 7 months old with 7,500 on the clock). It will be going back in on Tuesday for them to attempt to solve the infotainment system (I have no no confidence in their ability to do this). Tbh I am sick of driving a car with the intermittent ability to listen to music, put the heating on, reverse with the sensors working etc etc that you get to with the system. I am thinking of returning it. Paid for it outright. Does anyone know if this can be done? Can I ask fir my money back? Any advise gratefully recieved in terms of my rights in this respect.

Sadly, I am no expert. In fairness, I asked him what to put in if I needed to. You expect a dealership to do what they are supposed to.

The car has done 7,500 miles. Ex demonstrator. He was the technician at the dealership.

I use a USB stick. It takes quite some time to work, but it does . . . eventually.

He just said he topped it up! He told me 5W30 long life.

I can see I will have to take it in. It is weird because it was a demonstrator and so this should have been noted. Will phone them. So poor.
