Regardig my situation, where Skoda forbit to tow any trailer with my mk4 (2nd and 3rd comments), I wonder whether I can fit a towbar simply to use my cycle carrier or not.

In straight, longer roads I experienced the same. Car won’t recognise them, since their headlight is far away. After they flashed, it turns itself off automaticly, but full beam untill then.

Skoda forbid to put an afermarket tow bar to my mk4 due to emission reasons(?!). Dealer only warned me the after the purchase was complete.. (I even ordered it on paper through him.) You better ask the fact whether your car is available to have one or not, before running fake scenarios with the bike rack in your mind, like I did. There should be a black background sticker with white letters on the lower part of the B pillar, if you open the front door. It has the data which tells you such info about the tow bar.

So, one of my 1000 km’s with the mk4. Iphone XR on the charging pad, wifi and bluetooth connected infotainment, Waze on the screen. Long trip, hundreds of km’s, motorway. Result after 2 hrs: freezing phone due to overheating, also freezing CarPlay. Solution: Put phone next to the water bottle in the middle and wait for it to cool down. Result2: wifi connection to infotainment will flat your battery. Solution2: Put it on the charging pad. Endless cycle. FIN. Same exp. anyone?

Sorry, it’s my words on eco things that you can’t turn off. Like the cylinders auto turn off setting.

Umm, might be a hoax.. but.. Hi Guys! Did anyone of you notice strangely flickering dome lights from the back seats side of the roof? I just picked up the car from the dealer (after sunset), and during my way home one of the dome lights behind me randomly turned on and off, repetedly, couple mins interval. After my arrival, while parking, I was also noticed this when I simply did some “first steps” in the infotainment. Behind the driver seat light, dark, light, dark... but only one of them. (2 pcs) I mean, what the f..?
