  1. Hi folks. I'm looking at possibly purchasing the above. I have read that the ea111 engine wasn't as reliable as the ea211 do to the timing chain issues. It's got a service history and only got 118k on the clock.. would this be a bad decision?!
  2. Ok, thanks. It will be a main car and not a 2nd car. Ive just been informed by the seller that it's had the emissions recall done. Will a reputable tuner have the software to roll it back?
  3. thanks @langers2k. The car is going to be used on a greek island and there mot (kteo) isn't thorough in the slightest!
  4. I am wanting to get rid of the dpf and egr and then a map, so surely it wouldn't matter if it's had the fix or not? Or am I missing something..
  5. So my best bet would be revert it back to the original software before getting the dpf/egr removed?
  6. Hi folks. Im just about to purchase a 1.6tdi elegance. I've previously had diesel cars and suffered the dreaded regen problems before. I want to remove the dpf and egr and get the mapping sorted. The car will not be staying in the uk so the M.O.T wont be a problem. Can anyone reccommend somewhere in scotland to do this? many thanks
