  1. Hi all, Looking for parts advice/help. It has been identified that the car may be suffering from a bad climate control panel which is why the aircon isn't working. The garage have given me part number 3V0907044EDYMS which Skoda want almost a grand for and no idea how long it would take to get it to me😂 have managed to find it cheaper online but still talking 600ish quid My dilemma is that there is a load of the same looking panel on ebay with part number 3V0907044AQYMS for about 60-100 quid. The only difference I can find in the spec is the AQ part notes support for 'Seat heater for front and rear seats separately controlled' whilst the other doesn't. My car doesn't have heated seats so it wouldn't matter if it supports this or not. The question is, if I put the AQ part in the car will it work or even worse make something go pop? I'm at my wits end with this now and just looking for a fix but can't stomach spending almost another grand on a part which shouldn't have gone wrong in 20,000 miles so any help would be appreciated. I have got all the info from these links so not sure how trusted it even is https://m.oemvwshop.com/3v0907044aqyms-display-and-control-panel-with-cu-for-electronically-controlled-air-conditioning-satin-bla-skoda-superb-3v-p286582/ https://m.oemvwshop.com/3v0907044edyms-display-and-control-panel-with-cu-for-electronically-controlled-air-conditioning-satin-bla-skoda-superb-3v-p1502644/
  2. Thanks for the replies, can confirm after the regas and changing the setting for it through the infotainment (it was on eco) its just not working at all. Will get it booked in to be looked at, just hope its not an expensive fix
  3. The engine is in eco mode, but I have set up my own mode and pretty sure the aircon is set to normal. Is a good point though, will check it when I am home this evening and see what mode the aircon is in
  4. Same, not sure the regas will cure it but it needs doing anyway so would be a good starting point. It's a 2017 and when I got it Feb this year it only done 10k miles so it may have been sitting around for a while which may have caused this issue and the regas sorts it.
  5. It does seem to eventually if the windows are opened and it starts to cool down in the car. Not sure about the fans, I assume so as it works from a cold start and I assume it needs the fans to do that. Its booked in for a regas Thursday to see if that solves the issue, hopefully its as simple as that.
  6. Hi all, Have a very annoying issue with my aircon. The car is parked under cover so doesn't ever get warm in the cabin even on the hottest days. But, when the cabin does get hot (say we go out somewhere and it gets left in the sun) when I get back in the aircon just refuses to work. It'll just blow midly cooled air into the cabin even on the lowest setting and on auto the fans are going full tilt. It's confusing because I know it works as if I use it straight away when it's cool in the car already it blows out freezing cold air. Question is, and I think I know the answer, is if a regas will help? Only thinking that option as its the easiest solution but I don't want to bother doing that only for it to not make a difference. Any help or experience would be appreciated, we've got a trip to Cornwall in a couple of weeks and it's a 7 hour drive at best and would like it sorted by then ideally (8 month old in the back who most certainly does not like the heat!)
  7. Mine does this too and its quite handy...theres a hill by me and it starts off coasting down it then will end up in 3rd and use the engine braking to stop the speed increasing.
  8. They're not worth the effort of retrofitting in my opinion. In the winter if its cold enough outside to need the heated washer jets then you can be pretty sure the screenwash in the tank is frozen solid (happened to me a couple of times) so they do not get any water to them anyway!
  9. Who was that with? Sounds like quite a good price but have a look around as they do offers on some of the sites (I got 15% off mine for buying four) but they seem to come and go quite a lot
  10. I went PS4S on mine, was a toss up between them and the 'normal' PS4. If I was doing it again I would 100% go PS4 instead of the S, a car like the Superb just doesnt need the extra performance from the tyres. I did have a degree of FOMO I think and would have always wondered if I was missing out by not going for the S's but I can't imagine they would actually have made much difference on the car.
  11. Went through the exact same thing not long ago, can't comment on the engines as I was always going to go diesel but looked at all the other cars you mentioned before deciding on the Superb. As you say there's not much out there that offers the same VFM as it, I ended up going for it mainly because of the size, and liked the idea of a car that was such a standout colour (Dragon Green, in the sun its just something else). Mine came with some awful budget tyres on it and have changed these to PS4s and have zero issues with wheelspin, in fact I am often quite pleasantly surprised how well it handles for something so big thats tailored for comfort.
  12. What kind of journeys do you do? I put nigh on 65k miles on a Leon with pretty much the same engine as the 190 Superb and never had any issues with the EGR or DPF (the glowplugs I did have issues with though). My commute is about 25 miles each way mainly motorway and A roads and both cars do a regen about once a week. As said if you are doing the kind of journeys the DPF needs and this is still happening there might be another issue somewhere else that needs investigating
  13. They are constantly upgrading android auto at the moment and there is no changelog to see what they have even done which is annoying. My guess is an update has messed it up. Maybe check the settings on the AA on the phone and then when it is connected in the car to see if there is anything that might help. I know there is an option to toggle the voice assistant detection but not sure if there is a way to turn it off completely.
  14. Mine did this when I got it and the alignment was way out, they had to make quite a lot of changes to get it right. I would get it to a tyre specialist and see what they say as I would not trust Skoda to do it. After they had done it mine was still a bit off at higher speed so they had another go and its perfect now, dead straight and zero vibration.
