There probably is also a bias in reporting. The people on forums are more likely to report problems. They may have joined the forums for that reason! Overall, after 6+ months, no problems at all and I love the Octavia, mainly for low consumption and spaciousness. I had about 8 types of cars so far in my life and with the exception of Hondas which are unbreakable even at 350,000kms, all others had problems, especially the BMWs (electrical problems). This is my first VW engine and I love every moment of it. But I am not auto-crossing anymore, so not much load on the car

In Estonia, I spoke to the dealer now in June 2021 and they told me that the deliveries now are for February 2022.

As an update from Skoda: as of June 2021, this is still not possible. They say the factories are working very slowly and the software teams have not gotten around to writing the software needed to enable the extra features on our cars. So if you want to get a Skoda Octavia iv with Android Auto enabled, you need to do so from the factory. You cannot yet enable it after you buy it. They say it may be another 6-9 months before this may become available. They told me to call back in 2022! This is disappointing to say the least.

FYI, I found ALL the manuals there in PDF (300MB+). Just a bit difficult to find. Go to the "Individual Vehicle Information" -> "Repair information" and "Training Items" menus and you can download lots and lots of stuff. Regarding the car manuals -- I signed up and browsed ERWIN. This is not what I am looking for. ERWIN is extremely expensive and paying for it seems to be required every single time I want to do even the smallest of things. I just paid 9 euro for one hour of access -- this is nowhere near enough and printing is not really helpful since one needs to browse deep into a topic before printing becomes an option. Anybody knows if there is an actual manual PDF that one can download for e.g., engine repair?

Hello fellow Skodan's! Started driving a brand new 2020 Octavia Combi with the TSI 1.0 110HP. Very impressed with performance, and fuel economy! I am having the smallest display option (8"). It has the Android Play software on it but the car is too new for the dealer to know how to enable it. They say I should be able to do that using the skoda app after march 2021. I am ok with paying for it if needed but right now I am told they simply cannot do it since it is not done in the dealership anymore (like in the mk3s) but instead enabling these extra modules may migrate to skoda app. Has anyone managed to do this yet? Any leads?

Driving a brand new 2020 Octavia Combi with the TSI 1.0 110HP. Very impressed with performance, and fuel economy! It is indeed not my old S2000 or my 3-series bimmer handling-wise but it is very impressive otherwise. I am unsure if the Combi sized car would handle significantly better with the IRS suspension to warrant the price difference but for a daily driver the car is actually fun to drive for me. And I used to autocross small 2 seaters including a customized S2000 (280WHP) and a miata so I have an idea about decent handling. For a larger car like ours this handles quite well. But I have a family now etc. and my main priority now are: great consumption, decent performance, and great resale value (in that order).
