  1. Hi Massline, do you have any recollection of what you changed to make it work? I'm having the a very similar issue with my 2009 fabia which I've upgraded to an RCD510. I can't use my mfd at all and steering wheel congrols don't seem to work either. I have a feeling it could be CAN, but no tangible evidence to support it.. Cheers!
  2. Hi, Like the complete and utter fool I am, I lost my fuelcap. It was dark, the payment terminal at the petrol station was out of order and I had already opened the fuelcap and balanced it on the fuel door. Cue to my completely forgetting about that and driving off. Next day I find out about my stupidity and proceed to look along the road and at the petrol station. No dice. It's gone. So now I need a replacement but I'd really like to get an OEM one that is keyed alike to my old one so I don't have to add another key to my keyring. Is that even possible? I'd really love to hear any and every bit of advice! Cheers!
  3. Hi! Sorry for bumping this thread but have you found a solution yet? My 2009 mk2 has the same problem, though it acts up far more often. I've been working on it today and I've cleaned the contacts on the stalks and I'm yet to find out if it helped. I also have an issue where the windscreen wipers don't go into the highest speed. This makes me suspect it might be a dodgy ground connection on the relay box. I'll post an update if I find anything..
  4. I can definitely tell! That's impressive! I wouldn't blame you, with all due respect to Czechoslovakians!
  5. So I found another one after figuring out the year of manufacture of that red one @DRJ found. It seems to be a 2005 "Sport" edition.
  6. The left hand drive checks out. This one was spotted in Germany. I don't know whether or not it had red seatbelts although from the picture, they do seem to have a reddish tint. Furthermore, This car is registered in Kleve, which is in the east of Germany. I think it is unlikely that this car came al the way from Poland or Czechoslovakia, so I am starting to doubt the dealer special theory. How in the world did you find those listings so quickly by the way? I've been on and off the last day and a half looking for this thing and came up empty-handed! Hats off to you!
  7. I hadn't even considered that! My guess is that it might have been a very niche combination of trim options that would then have been dubbed "Sport Line".
  8. Ah that's good news. I assume the volume adjustment on the steering wheel stalk communicates in the same way as the volume adjustment on the steering wheel itself on the Facelift models? And thanks for the tip on the MAC addresses, that's really helpful!
  9. Hi all, I'm new here to this forum. I joined here since I bought my first car last september: a fantastic 2009 Fabia. I love it to bits but there are a few things which I'd like to upgrade. - I'd love to swap out the Dance radio to an RNS310 Satnav unit - Build in bluetooth - Replace the steering wheel with a Facelift one with the controls on the wheels instead of the third paddle behind the wheel. The thing is, I know these mods will work well with a Facelifted Fabia with the newer maxidot display. My car still has the old LCD. I am wondering if that also entails a difference in the computer itself. Another thing is, my fabia has the fabulously outdated caddy for a nokia built into the dashboard from factory, with all the built in features in the LCD. As funky as this feature is, it's pretty obsolete and I'd like to remove it. But i can't exactly imagine how that system could deal with a newer bluetooth module. Does anyone here have any idea whether any of my mods would even function? Thanks in advance!
  10. Hi, while shopping for groceries, I spotted this MK1 Fabia with these decals on them. I had never heard of a sport line MK1 and I wanted to know more. As it turns out, google is no use. Does anyone hew know whether or not these are genuine? Either way, I think they look pretty neat!
