[Columbus shows start screen and nothing else. No sound/sensors/satnav etc]

 the fault your saying, am I right in saying the stereo shows the skoda sign and then switches off and keeps doing this??

 

if this is the case there is a firmware discs that skoda do have (Northampton dealer does) it flashes the software and reboots the unit

the process does take some time so don't expect to wait for it but works and fixes unit

hi peeps the car is a 2008 3t chassi, the car has got 108,000 miles on the car hadn't thought about seeing if skoda would help with the cost ill look at that tomoz :-)

 

its a new car for me, haven't had it too long,

 

im in Northampton, I know that the gear box that has to go in the car has to be the same that come out of it, you carnt change numbers,

my superb gearbox has decided to exit stage left, its a dsg with a gear box code of LQT

(the car is a 2lt cr diesel elegance hatch)

is anyone breaking one ? or know anyone that could repair it ?

There is a update but not sure if it covers a 2010 car how ever I belive that i may have done one on a late 2009 car so this may well be the case the update isn't for speeding up sd cards its for a bolero rock curve fault but something with in the update changes the sd card set up pls don't hesitate to contact me regarding assistants or pls pass contact details to your dealer there listed above I'll be more than willing to help anyone, feedback has been sent to Skoda already ( But pls be aware that I have come across on 1 account different manufactures of the bolero stereos this has been limiting ad cards sizes and speeds) but feel free to contact me I'm bk to work Monday thanks again Gavin

i hope someone can help ive fitted columbus sat nav to my 54 plate mk 2 octavia ive got 2 issues with it and was wondering if some one can help me

1) the stereo is alot smaller and need to order a pre face lift surround does anyone know the part number i can get the face lift one but not the pre face lift ??

2) the stereo seems to have a fan running on in the unit which is causing a battery drain does anyone know if theres a coding change or should i have fitted anything else to sort this ?

hi ive managed to lay my hands on the said above unit but it has a problem when turning it on it powers up on home page and then turns off and contiues to do so has any one or does anyone know any where that would be able to fix it many thanks gavin

hi guys im looking to update my superb it has a bolero unit no sat nav in it at the mo wishing to upgrade to columbus with sat nav is this possible or do i need to fit extra wiring/control units in ?? the dealer has quoted me lots to fit the unit

ive got a skoda fabia here at my work with immo fault its loosing the key and wont start but i know there is a bypass wire from the reader coil to the dash pod its self but i carnt find the part number is there anyone out there who has this or can anyone put me intouch with someone who has had this done so i maybe abe to locate the number
