Hi all Advice please Needed to replace the nsf seatbelt as it was jammed up, got a second hand one from a breakers years but typically it’s different to the one coming off as the airbag wiring plug is different. My question is, can I snip the plug connectors off and solder together? If so would you join black wire to black wire and blue wire to white wire? Don’t want to get it wrong as I’m sure the airbag will go off. Thanks all

Hi all I am about to purchase a nice flat bottom steering wheel from a mark3 vrs to go into my mark 2 vrs fl DSG with steering wheel controls luckily the mark 3 one comes with an airbag too. What is needed to make it fit and the controls to work and any wiring mods needed for the different airbag ? Assume some coding will be needed Many thanks all

Hello all have had engine light come on and coil light sporadically flash on the dash on my Octavia VRS TDI CR plugged in a scanner and it’s coming up with 01650 cylinder 2 glow circuit active / static. clear the fault but it comes straight back again. any one have any ideas what needs to be done to fix ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. sure it’s not as simple as a new set of glow plugs with the luck I have and be something mega money. the other fault codes cleared and didn’t come back so possible they are old codes 😊 many thanks Darren

Hello all another stupid question to put to all you skoda know it all’s my mk2 vrs Tdi has a black style radio surround and I want to change it to the brush alloy look one, to match the door cards, and other dash trim. My dilemma is, is the trim surround different if you have a bolero or Columbus radio ? I have a bolero and the electronic heater controls. if any one knows the part number I need as well that would be awesome thank you all

Hi all please can some help me before I go crazy . Purchased some brand new genuine front and rear mudflaps off eBay, for my Octavia mk2 FL hatch. Thinking I’d save some money and bother driving 30 plus miles to my nearest dealer, how wrong was I. The purchased flaps didn’t have the fixings need to actually attach them to my car, and after a row with the seller and eBay not giving a toss despite the packaging showing images of the fixings I am alittle bit stuck. Does any one know where I can get these fixings so I can finally have them on my car many thanks all

Hello all need some advise for my vrs tsi has developed a ticking sound on idle, sounds like the top end is running dry and about to blow up lol it comes and goes and it’s only just started doing it, my car sat for two months recently when I was recovering from surgery and I don’t recall it doing it then and it feels abit lumpy when on start up idle, like a misfire which does clear after a short period Oil level is ok, and changed regularly with proper shell oil so it’s not that have searched around for advise and it sounds like it could be the n80 purge valve, what’s everyone’s thoughts on this any ideas, should I be worried ? apart from this the car goes like a dream can’t hear it in the car but it’s quite prominent when parked up etc sorry for the essay
