I got my steering wheel replaced 4 times; the last time was in this January. There were several revisions of steering wheel released and finally this error has been sorted out (last revision from November 2022, don't remember exact code). The problem was caused by condensation that formed between the built in touch sensor and the steering wheel leather trim. That's why the error usually was triggered during cold weather. It took 2 years, but I'm happy it's finally resolved.

That's because Amundsen has 8" display and looks like AA does not offer any customization for this screen size. I have Kodiaq MY21 also with Amundsen and AA 8.8 and there are just no options to change anything. However, the most annoying thing is that AA somehow does not use upper part of screen. Some said that this limitation is set by VW due to notification slider, but somehow Apple CarPlay is able to use whole area of the screen.

I also annoyed by that black bar in my Skoda MIB3. Isn't it Android Auto issue as CarPlay uses whole screen correctly?

So far no issue with that, BUT I have to test it in winter to fully confirm. Btw, I took 2 videos of this issue, involved local dealer and importer; both of them were quite responsive. So I can't complain too much, at least in my country.

Update regarding heated steering wheel and travel assist issue. The first replacement of steering wheel didn't change anything. Few days later I got a call from the dealer, that they are going to replace my steering wheel 2nd (!) time. This time it will have different revision. This week I have got it replaced 2nd time. So far no issues with heating and travel assist, BUT this issue usually came up when it was not so warm outside. These days are quite hot, so I am not 100% sure it is fully resolved. Fingers crossed!

Update regarding Škoda Kodiaq MY21 heated steering wheel & Travel Assist issue. I was at dealer, they confirmed the issue and said that internally Škoda is aware about it since November 2020. That was strange, because my car was assembled in January 2021. They said that steering wheel will be changed and ordered new one. This week they got new one and yesterday it was changed. Guess what? Today the same error is popping up in exactly the same way :/ I sent all the videos to the dealer and now I'm waiting for the next solution. It's starts to become a bit frustrating. Btw, software update that was discussed above was indeed released in April. I recommend to proceed with update at dealer (from version 0270 to 0276). It makes MIB3 system more stable (google for more details). However that is not related to the steering wheel issue.

Well, at least some promise to have an update, although it still sounds they have no idea what exactly will be fixed. Have to agree it's very poor communication from Skoda! I don't believe they haven't noticed the issue. Is there only one coder in VAG group able to fix anything? Let's hope he has planned some time slot in April to check the Kodiaqs!

Any update on this? I have just got my new Kodiaq and facing with exactly the same issue - time by time, when I start driving, there is an error, that Travel assist is unavailable. For me it looks like a firmware issue, because it happens only at the beginning of my drive. Looks like travel assist software is not starting properly and that's why error is showing up 3-5 times.
