  1. I’ve tried canbus bulbs and even new units with resistors and they still flag up the light on the dash. if anyone has had success I’d be interested to know how also?
  2. I’ve had my 170 remapped but it isn’t the DSG. Made a big difference to the way it drives, took it to 216bhp and 444nm torque.
  3. I have uniroyal rainsport 5’s on my superb estate. They are great. Quiet, comfortable and give good grip in the dry and wet. They are a mid price tyre too.
  4. Ive had my 2011 2.0TDI 170 remapped although it isn't the 4x4. I got good gains for stage 1 and it has made all the difference to the driving experience. I agree with root toot though, make sure your vehicle has good history, and is in good running condition.
  5. @SkeidaFinDo you mean something like these? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223915296760?epid=28045967395&hash=item34226447f8:g:6ssAAOSwJTRhUawo
  6. @DrCorbyLee The ones ive replaced are DRL's, Fogs, Side Lights and Mirror Down Lights. Surely these are all monitored? Id be interested to know if yours work though, that would be great, thank you
  7. Hi all, Ive recently replaced most of my external bulbs with LED's. I bought can bus bulbs to ensure they wouldn't trigger a warning and all of them are causing no issues apart from the number plate bulbs. Ive tried a couple of different bulbs now but they all bring up the dash warning, any suggestions on what bulbs will be accepted? TIA
  8. There are plenty of non Skoda boot liners for the superb estate if you don't mind it being non Skoda. These are just 2 of the ones I found. Since they are non Skoda ones they just fill the boot space without worrying about the rails is my understanding. https://www.bootsliners.co.uk/SKODA-BOOT-LINERS/SKODA-SUPERB-BOOT-LINER/ https://www.carmats4u.com/skoda-superb-estate-09-2009-2014-boot-liner-mat-tray.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8_iK_8eq8AIVQvBRCh2BdQaxEAQYASABEgJtavD_BwE
  9. This is interesting as my drivers door regulator also decided to give up last week in the exact same way. I took it in to my local dealer to get it replaced and they started by telling me the part was unavailable and on a 6 week back order (seems many are failing currently) In the end they 'managed' to get one next day. Hope you guys have got it sorted by now anyway, but as Johnny said, must be something going around.
  10. Im looking for a boot liner for the estate with rails and can't find one for sale anywhere, only the one for estates with no rails. If either of you buy a new one for your vehicles id be interested in buying the rail one off you? @Walder @gav_is_con
  11. @P1970No, to be honest I can't see anything that has changed from doing the firmware. I would probably save the money and not bother. Just do the maps.
  12. @P1970 I bought them, only because I don't have the things needed to burn a disk. I bought the firmware from https://www.latestsatnav.co.uk/skoda-18-c.asp the Maps from eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2020-VW-SKODA-SEAT-RNS510-RNS810-Sat-Nav-DVD-Disc-Map-UK-WEST-Europe-V17/333956914092?hash=item4dc1621bac:g:5EoAAOSwRTNgdJ4E
  13. Ive got the disks to do both the firmware and map update. Where about in Oxfordshire are you based? I'm in aylesbury.
  14. Thanks pab, I've found the software for 5238. I have no other screens connected. I was worried it might not work and I couldn't go back. Is it straight forward? Put the disk in and it just updates itself?
  15. Hi All, Should I update the firmware on my headunit? It is a Columbus RNS 510. SW-Version 3984 Im about to update the maps to V17 West. What will I gain/lose from updating the firmware? Does it make any difference? Thanks
  16. Im in a similar situation. Ive just bought a 61 Plate superb and the nav doesn't recognise where I live (new build estate) Ive ordered a disk containing the West V17 Maps to update these but have no idea what firmware its running. As P1970 says, I doubt mines ever been updated. How do I go about updating the firmware? and does this have to be done at all/before the map updates?
  17. Hi All, Picked up a 2011 Skoda Superb Estate Elegance 2.0 TDI 170 the other day. Its my first Skoda but my Dad has had a couple and currently has a 2018 Octavia VRS Estate. Love the car so far, roomy and comfortable, low mileage and in great condition for its age too. IMG_1166.HEIC IMG_1172.HEIC
