  1. New tensioner acquired from TPS. Could have gone aftermarket but went OEM for the supposed definitive "K" version of tensioner. Not too steep at £56.00
  2. Profile on page says it's 2010. Post says 79k 🤷
  3. Guys, I'm getting the dreaded rattle on cold startup. 1.8Tsi Cdaa engine. It lasts approx 1 second before quieting down. There's no other rattles, chain is very quiet the rest of the time. I'm thinking it needs a replacement tensioner. Am I correct in saying the tensioner runs off oil pressure and weakens over time hence the initial rattle? Can any Skoda/VW techs help with a part number please? Autodoc are saying this is the part but they are very vague and gave me 3 different options...all different. 🤷 VIN is TMBBB73TXA9017287 Miles are 79k TIA Andy
  4. It has an amplified unit with a blue wire to be attached to the switched live to power it. So just use the two blue Fakra's and ignore the white one?
  5. Guys, I've ditched the Columbus head unit for an all singing and dancing more up to date head unit but I'm having issues with FM radio reception. The aftermarket unit has supplied an aerial to single FAKRA connection but the Columbus has two blue and one white FAKRA connectors. I've tried all 3 connections but reception is still crap. I've now bought a twin FAKRA to aerial connector but which 2 out of the 3 connectors do I use? Anybody who's had this issue did you sort it out? TIA
  6. Out of curiosity, is the recommended tyre pressure not on a little chart on the inside of the fuel filler flap? It certainly is on UK/European spec cars.
  7. Didn't get the sensor, only a replacement link bar. You can't buy just the link bar at the main dealers, just a complete assembly. My sensor is still working, I can manually move the arm and the headlamps move up and down. After some research I found it's a common issue on VAG cars because they use a plastic link bar that is not sturdy enough to take the pounding of speed humps. I've left a link to what I've bought... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255693386239?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fE0Y93HTQce&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=c0C53j5KQEW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. If you go to getnavigationdvd.com they have a 2022 map update for the Columbus/RNS510 You will need a burning software like Nero to burn an .iso file to disk to do the update.
  9. I'm confused, what are you driving? Is it a Superb 1.8 TSI 4x4? Your tyre sizes and pressures are way different to my 2010 1.8 TSI. My car runs 225/40-18's, front tyre pressure is 32psi and rear 33-34psi.
  10. Guys, I was fitting new drop links this weekend when I noticed the xenon levelling link bar from the lower arm to the sensor was completely missing. It appears to have snapped off completely if you look at the picture attached. I've bought a stainless steel adjustable rod to replace it but need a reference point to see the position of the top sensor arm to fit it at the correct length. Could anybody take a picture of their sensor/link bar on level ground to give me a starting point. I'm aware it needs VCDS to programme it correctly, I just need a reference point to start with TIA , Andy
  11. Inadvertently answered what I was going to post..."is the Columbus HU coded"? Any idea where the code for it will be? I have all the documentation but there's no mention of it in the service book with the vehicle spec codes, colour code etc
  12. Fault code cleared but still no cruise. Have found CCM behind cubby hole to the lower right of steering wheel though.
  13. Not got VCDS but have read car on a top of the range Autel which has found a comfort control module issue. Question is does the CCM handle the cruise and where is it located?
