Travs new battery fitted 6 months ago Did you ever find out what the fault was. Mine did exactly the same tonight. Running at 50 hiccup then limp mode,coil light,tyre pressure monitor. Restart and fine.

Think my BCM control for door & dash coloured ambients is knackered. Can you run a supply from switched fuse up to them to get to work again. If so can someone point me where to make connection. PS have done all earlier checks like fuse and checking settings.

Noticed it from day 1 of ownership, a little trawl through internet suggested it was the framing around the pan roof/headlining and suggested unclipping the back edge of frame to relieve the tension. It worked buy my ocd with car couldn't leave the lining loose as it was. The lining has a metal frame and yes it was more noticeable at slow speed if the chassis was twisting a bit. 3 years on don't even notice it now.

May just go to upgrade backs then. Fronts have had New pads recently stock Brembos. Just seems to need to be stood on a bit heavier sometimes.

Anyone upgraded discs and calipers on front of MK3. Something from an Audi perhaps S3 or S4. Currently have the smaller discs and sometimes feel a bit hairy braking under speed.

Noticed lately they seem to be struggling sometimes. Do they need lubrication and if so what kind.

Will get an auto electrician to look. This has been ongoing and someone pointed me to BCM

Any ideas of cost to replace the BCM 2016 sportline. Had the trim LED's disappear a while ago and think it's time to get them up and running again. Did have a blown fuse which got them working for a short while but they suddenly stopped again the dash and door ones, floor ones are fine. Not fuse gone this time 😞 or settings.

Oh well motor ordered complete with resistor. Worth a try.

So finally, a break in the weather. motor was fairly easy to remove. Impellor a bit stiff so done the WD40 let's see if it does the job. However, if not a new motor it will be.

Cheers had a quick look and can see what you mean, few screws and looks like bottom of housing will twist out. Lots of people have used WD40 to fix as it looks common fult throughout VW group. Will also use a little white grease on it worth a try.

Update, just been out in dark, hammering with rain. Can now hear the motor temporarily run for a while then starts groaning until it stops. Anyone know how to drop the motor from behind the glovebox as will try the old WD40 trick.

Suddenly stopped working tonight no matter what speed it was set at. then suddenly kicked in enough to demist windscreen enough to get me home. Now stopped again. Any ideas what it may be. Can't be a fuse so guessing motor or is there a resistor faul.

My Scuttles are regularly checked and kept clear, no water ingress or anxiety about it. I have another issue and just checking that its now called BCM.

Can anyone enlighten me on location of the comfort control module. Its a 2016 sportline if any help. Heard it's under passenger carpet (RHD)but want to be sure before I start digging. This is following my earlier failure of the coloured ambient lighting

Best place to reliably buy a Honey combe grille. Maxton seems to have stopped selling them. 2016 model.
