Any ideas of cost to replace the BCM 2016 sportline. Had the trim LED's disappear a while ago and think it's time to get them up and running again. Did have a blown fuse which got them working for a short while but they suddenly stopped again the dash and door ones, floor ones are fine. Not fuse gone this time 😞 or settings.

Bit of a jump to condemn the bcm without further diagnosis no?

 

The lights are on different circuits and the dash and door ones have a power supply, ground and linbus. Have you confirmed all 3 of these are working first?

Will get an auto electrician to look. This has been ongoing and someone pointed me to BCM 

Do stand alone auto electricians still exist, given these days cars are cram-packed full of electronics and ECU’s? I’m just guessing without the manufacturers diagnostic equipment they’d get nowhere with their “diagnosis”. 

When my bcm went the dash strip ledlights  went the mfd all went full and the heated seats didn’t work. 
bcm was 500 English pounds and then couple hours  labour to recode. Can only be done via Odis

I am having similar problems on my vehicle. After a front camera update by a Skoda dealer, I lost several features on the car. I had help from a Briskoda member, who re coded the lane control. I managed to reinstall the convenience drivers seat, but the ambient light palette has disappeared and I have been unable to reinstate it. I just get a message in the central screen that tells me the colour is dependent on the driving mode; changing the mode has no effect.

 

I was told this is likely down to the BCM needing updating, but could this be down to a blown fuse. I did contact another Skoda dealer two days ago, asking them if they could update the BCM and was told that a diagnostic check would be required first and the nearest date they had for this was in July. I decided to wait.

 

Anyone had a similar experience?

@Eirhead I have already swapped successfully, uploaded the correct parameterization for my vehicle, had to manually edit a few things from the old backup and everything works. Do you have any diagnostics? Or send me the 09 exchange statement

Hello Joco776. Sorry, you have me confused as I know very little about the technical aspects. Can you explain what you mean by the "09 exchange statement", please? I do have an OBD11, would I be able to gather the required information with that?

Upgraded ones

BCM :- 5Q0937084DD

 

The problem being faced

1.left side drl not turning on

2.ambient light on passenger side dash and all four doors not working.

3. Reverse camera and reverse lights not working.

 

What could be reason for this.

Did you restore adaptations properly?

Hello Zacko_O How do I go about up dating my BCM. I have a OBD11, would I be able to do it with this?

The present issue is boot open button near gear lever  doesn't work. It works on the keyfob.

Also ambient lights turns on when I open the doors and it turns off when the doors are closed, how to fix this problem.

One more requirement is how to enable driver mode color change in virtual cockpit.

Dashboard ambient/ footwell white  are on always.

 

2.The seat cooling function if i turn on the menu appears and the turns off.

 

3.Boot unlock button near gear lever doesn't work.

But boot opens with remote as well as on the button on boot.

 

4.AC Menu for Fan speed low mid high is gone.
