Same as mine tread was good but in between tread cracked and got an advisory on mot

Almost a 1000 pounds on a 4and half year old 15000 mile car,

Again safety issue

On the phone it was easyer than trying to talk to a machine

I have been intouch with skoda twice now and voiced my concern of the safty aspect of this problem and the cost to rectify as the car had to be taken on the back of breakdown as not driveable ,it being my only way of getting around being disabled with ms cant afford to pay out that amount to fix probably my last vehicle they said they would look into it and get back to me in 24 hours im not making any excuses its just the way it is we will see what rhey say and the fact just had to replace all 4 tyres ,not a happy bunny at the mo.

Hi guys ye finally got car back and was given 25 percent godwill discount but still had to cough up just under 600 quid they replaced fuel rail aswell as gaskets and bolts ,think will have another go at Skoda as mentioned its a safety issue but shouldnt happen on a 5year old 15000 mile car ,my other fabia had done 240 000 petrol when changed for octavia and i have had to change all 4 tyres as they were split in between the tread Mot advisory

Hi guys terns out its the fuel rail at fault at an astounding cost on a 15 000 5 year old motor but having done some digging on net especially this site it seems to be happening alot.

Hi strange that i have the same problem with my Octavia 1.4 tsfi estate 66 plate with 15 000 on the clock and just bern told the price to put it right GULP on a relatively new low milage car

Thanks will check tomorrow had a feeling was either rail or pump problem but only got 15000 on clock very strange cheers

I have a Octavia 1.4tsfi facelift 66 plate with only 15000 miles on the clock and this morning it wouldnt start and noticed a smell of petrol and also noticed fuel from the front on the tarmac has anyone else had this happen and what was the fault
