Brilliant I just think there isn’t enough pressure pushing against the latch when it’s closed to prevent it rattling around. I had another rattle coming from the drivers door couldn’t for the life of me work out what it was turned out it was the umbrella 😂 took it out problem solved 😳😂

My Octavia Mk4 is a lease car Company Car took it back to Skoda today as I had to call out VW/Audi roadside assistance did a diagnostic on it basically said it is riddled with software faults airbag fault etc. Spoke to the lady in are office who deals with the cars said not just me the other lads cars (Skoda MK4) same issues 4K mileage 4 months old not a happy bunny .

The only other thing is I seen a video on YouTube and a guy spoke about that and he literally got a pair of old socks put the rear seats down wrapped a sock around the metal clasp and slammed the seats back up and the rattle went it was where the metal part of the seat attaches to the clasp on the car body was rattling against each other. Just a thought

Hi In my opinion it’s the boot if it’s a hatchback the black plastic things on either side of the tailgate when you open it you can press them in which is what happens when the boot closes I put loads of grease into them and it stopped not done it since.

Hi i have literally last week had the most up to date software in stalled (so I was told) at a Skoda dealer but when I asked what issues this had sorted I was told it was to do with the air conditioning so still have the same issues with not saving settings etc.

It is a Joke I do like the car but the support system is leaving a bad taste but to be honest I had the same when I had an Audi and a VW service was crap.

Hi I had that on mine and just fixed it this morning it was driving me mad and your right sounds like the boot catch. Well i managed to fix it this morning it is the boot stoppers to the right and left on the body of the car and the boot itself mine is the hatchback. I took them off and and just below where the torque screw is actually cut from a square piece felt that you put under chair legs on all 4 to pad them out and presto rattle gone. if you shut the boot and press on the sides of the top off the boot where these stoppers meet and it makes a noise like mine did then that's what it is now I have fitted the felt pads and done this no noise nice and solid. Hi For anybody who is interested I got my Octavia MK4 end of March 2021 I have had issues with the infotainment system just not working properly doesn't save my settings. I now have it booked in for a big software update its called a Field Campaign 90Q9 update. Many Thanks Mark

Hi So unfortunately it was apparently an error on the website and the Skoda Octavia MK4 does not come with LED lights in the rear does. So for my inconvenience they gave me a £150 voucher to use at Skoda so I ordered full set of all weather mats and a boot liner. They did offer me a free service but doesn't benefit me as its a company car. Thanks Mark

You would when I rang Skoda Customer Service couldn’t or wouldn’t confirm or deny which was right which is why I now have a case number and they are looking in to it. But you are right in what you say.

Hi Mine is a company car and I used the Skoda Uk website to add options and in the comfort and multimedia sub heading LED lighting pack it says dashboard and front and rear doors can be changed to 10 colours and that’s what I worked of so see what they say when they come back to me.

Hi I have got a case number now and waiting to hear back from them there seems to be a bit of a conflict on the literature as customer service showed me the brochure that didn’t mention it but the Skoda Uk website does say rear doors I’m not letting this go I want what I paid for.

Thanks I am disappointed as on the Skoda Uk site when I built the car I added the Led light pack option and it said front and rear doors. I have now taken this up with Skoda and they have opened a case number and will get back to me when I pointed this out on the website as it clearly says it.

Hi Can somebody help me I have received my new Octavia I order the extra of the LED light pack which on the Skoda Uk website says it includes LED strips on the dashboard font and rear doors but when I got the car there are no light strips on the rear doors is this right ? thanks mark

I have the same issue with my Skoda Octavia SE Technology had it a week set all my settings in the Sat Nav come back later all settings lost very frustrating don’t know what to try 🤨

Hi can anybody please help I have just got a Skoda Octavia SE Technology MK4 and I am having trouble with the Sat Nave remembering any of my settings like POI and sound settings like not to talk directions when I’m on the phone. I make all the settings get out the car lock it up come back later all my settings are gone. Many Thanks Cawdy1972
