  1. Opened that bitch up, the ribbon cable was snapped, wound it back up, soldered the broken connections and it's all working again! The way the original connection is made, it's just a single point, tiny spot weld, no wonder these break all the time. These things are totally repairable.
  2. That's great. Thank you very much, I have it out already :)
  3. Nice one, thank you! Would you have same images for the airbag?
  4. Thank you, I've read the entire topic, I'm aware of the different versions of the clock spring. I am looking for a video that would be as close as possible to the Superb, on how to remove the clock spring from the steering wheel. I've watched a few on other brands/models, and wouldn't want to break anything attempting this 😅
  5. Hi all, I have the same issue on my 2018 Superb. Is there any good video anywhere that shows how to get the clock spring out?
  6. Thank you very much, seems the part below should be a fit then.
  7. I think the engine code is DFG. Would that make sense? I tried to find a label described here: https://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/octavia-mk2/drive_unit/1.9/77_kw_tdi_pd_engine/technical_data/technical_data/engine_number/ I can DM the VIN if DFG is not it. Thanks.
  8. Thank you for a prompt response, and excuse me for being very uneducated when it comes to cars. Where could I find the engine code? Would that be somewhere under the bonnet, perhaps in the book? (I'm not sure what V5 means, sorry).
  9. Hi guys, I am trying to find a spare oil filler cap for my Superb MK III, but I'm not having much luck finding the right part. Some of the web searches are conflicting. It's a 2.0 Diesel engine 140Hp. Could someone point me to the right part, maybe link a picture too if possible, thanks.
  10. Thank you for your replies, I'll search for the trims topics.
  11. The trim around all side windows? How would I know if it's not correctly fitted?
  12. Hi guys and gals, The Superb I purchased just over a week ago had a windshield replaced before I collected it. When driving at high speeds, the wind noise is much more noticeable than any other previous car I've owned. I was looking at the Touareg we have in the household- I've nothing else to compare it to at the moment, and it has these seals (or whatever they're called) along the sides of the windshield, in my Superb there isn't anything there, I'm just wondering if this is normal? Check out the pictures, on the top there's a seal present, but on the sides you can just see an empty channel. Cheers, Matt
  13. Hi guys, I'm new to Skoda, just picked up my Superb last week, what a car... I have a 2018 Sportline in estate, with manual boot. Is it possible to retrofit automatic open/close function to it? I'm guessing it's probably possible, but would it cost a fortune and take ages to fit? Cheers.
