  1. Sorry, can't help. Mine is a Zappi charger.
  2. Hi; As promised, I am reporting back on the charging issues following the software update. Pleased to say that having had the car back at the dealer, it now seems to be working OK and interacting as pre-software update with my Zappi. Dealer wouldn't acknowledge that the solutions offered on this forum were correct but they also didn't offer any alternative explanations ! So thanks to all those who responded to this thread.
  3. So, took the car into the dealer today and now starting the process of monitoring how their software tweaks address the issues described in earlier posts. One thing is clear: the general software downloading process effectively eliminates many previous settings and effectively restores "factory settings" which in themselves can cause significant changes to performance including the charging process. I had mistakenly assumed that existing settings would be "ring-fenced" but in practice it is wise to make a note of all settings before any download so that they can then be put back to their settings pre-software download (hope this makes sense !). I would also comment that my car being a 2021 early version Enyaq has been problematic from Day 1 due to the fact that the dealership where I bought and collected the car had little or no experience with the model and the software and so just left it to the buyer to muddle through. Anyway, I will give it a week or so and get back to report whether the issues have been resolved. Bye for now.
  4. From the responses to this thread there seems to be little doubt that the software update is responsible. As suggested by Colinf above I suggest that we keep in touch and report our experiences when our respective cars go into the dealerships - yours on Friday (30/9/2024 and mine on 2/8/2024).
  5. Hi Luckypants; Very much appreciate your help. The car is booked in on 2 September for this and another issue, so I will draw your comments to their attention and see what they do. Best Wishes
  6. I have had my Skoda Enyaq for 3+ years. For virtually 100% of the time I charge the car at home using my Zappi charger, which also charges an MG4. My electricity supplier is Octopus and I am on their Octopus Go Intelligent tariff. The Zappi is set in Eco+ mode. My normal charging procedure until about 2-3 weeks ago (when the Enyaq software was “upgraded” by the dealer) has been to plug in the cable in the afternoon or evening and lock the car. The Zappi would usually glow red and display "Waiting for Surplus". It then charged when the low (7p per kWh) off-peak tariff starts at 23:30hrs. Occasionally, when plugging in during the afternoon when surplus electricity is being generated from my solar panels, the Zappi would charge the car whilst the solar surplus exists and will then revert to "Waiting for Surplus", resuming charging at 23:30hrs. Recently, however, (since the Enyaq software was “updated”) when the charge is scheduled to start at 23:30hrs the Zappi displays "EV is preventing charging" and does not charge. However, when that happens if I press the Enyaq key fob once after 11:30hrs, the charging starts immediately. The Zappi then charges the car to the chosen charge level. Although the above means that I can charge the car(s), it means that I have to wait until 23:30hrs before I can start the charging process manually and this is well after my bedtime !!! I have checked with Myenergi/Zappi and they confirm that the charger is up to date in terms of firmware and has no indications of malfunctioning. Any advice on what I can do to return the charger to perform as it had previously operated ? I would also add that the charging process now stops at 80% even on the few occasions that I set it to 90% on the Infotainment screen and on the Skoda App in anticipation of a long journey.
  7. I am scheduled to take in my July 2021 Enyaq 60 into a main dealer for body repairs. When booking the appointment I was told that a software update was also required which would involve the car being required for at least 2 to 3 hours. I have an extended warranty on the vehicle for one year = taking me up to July 2025 which I purchased when ordering the vehicle from new. Forgive me if this has been raised before elsewhere but can someone enlighten me as to what the situation is for software updates beyond the normal 3 year warranty ? Is the update chargeable and if so would it be covered by the extended warranty ? For how long would Free Of Charge updates be provided on the Enyaq ? Hope someone can enlighten me !!!
  8. My Enyaq 60 is due for its 2 year service next week. Is anyone else able to confirm what the charge should be ?
  9. Thanks again. I have to say that the product knowledge of the Enyaq at both Skoda Customer Service and the dealer is abysmal . As a result it makes you wonder how many sales they have lost out on.
  10. Very grateful for the information. Both Skoda UK Customer Service and the dealer said that they are not removable !!! Where did you get the illustration ? Best Wishes,
  11. Hi Cyrano; I posted after I had tried removing the headrest to no avail and was hoping that somebody would know whether it was possible that I was missing something. It is the first Skoda I have owned or comeacrsoss where the headrests do not seem to be removeable.
  12. I want to fit seat covers to the front seats of my Enyaq (2021 iV 60). However, I cannot find any reference in the Owner manual to the headrests being removable - the only reference is to a button on the side of each headrest to allow them to move up and down. Can anyone tell me if they can be removed so that I can fit the seat covers ? Thanks in advance.

Still not sure what the services will cost but here is an interesting article which provides a list of required-arts: https://jalopnik.com/skoda-says-mileage-wont-affect-maintenance-and-service-1848364309

    Thanks Skomaz and Nicky_P.
  15. My Enyaq 60 appears to have only one reversing light (on the driver side). It doesn't throw out much illumination. So, two questions: 1. Should there be a reversing light on both the nearside and the offside of the car ? 2. If there's just the one reversing light, can anything done to increase the brightness ? The driver manual doesn't even mention reversing lights !

Hi Gerrycan; I think I will not follow your suggestion about asking to revert to a harder setting. I am a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" but I suspect you are right about them not really understanding ! As regards your comment that "I find it very hard to believe they would fit more expensive adjustable suspension..." I would point out that others have suggested that these sorts of "settings" are probably software controlled and it might not be all that surprising if they just fit one standard (potentially variable) unit and then effectively just charge for changing the software settings. The potential costs of having different "standard" units and "adjustable" units could well mean that it would be more economical to fit one unit and then just charge for the software choice made by the customer.

And what does it say ?

Can you clarify and repeat what you are referring to?
  20. Heike replied to Heike's topic in Skoda Enyaq
What you say may be correct. No way of knowing.

Took about 30 minutes. No charge.

Solved !!!! Update on my Enyaq’s hard ride issue. Previously lowered the tyre pressures from the incorrect 2.7 bar (the pressures set on the car when it was collected from new at the dealer) to the 2.5 bar shown on the car sticker. That improved the ride a bit but still not happy so I booked the car into the dealer so that the suspension could be checked. Took it in today and was told that the “suspension settings” needed to be changed as the original settings were set to run at “hard”. Once that had been done it was a different driving experience and I no longer feel like I am hitting a concrete block when meeting a pothole or trench ! An interesting comment was made about adjusting the ride quality between Sport, Comfort, Eco etc but on my Enyaq that facility isn’t available. My guess is that on Enyaqs without ride quality selection, the ‘factory setting’ is probably Sport (the hardest setting) which might be fine for race tracks but doesn’t suit my local holy rural roads.

These suggestions are all very good and demonstrate that when specifying cars, it is as important (more really) to identify tyre types as whether the alloy wheels are of a particular design etc.

By "If your head unit has a power button" I presume you mean the Starter button ? I will try that. However, it seems that there is some sort of link to the driver seat. When I leave the car it switches off, but when I sit in the driver seat it switches on - this is irrespective of where the ignition key is inside the car.
