  1. To all interested parties, Can report success, my friend talked to a friend etc. Amazing really people who should know do not know! Answer is the new type of infotainment in my superb and Apple iPod are not able to talk. Apple put and end code (?) that prevents devices speaking. Simple answer download all your tunes onto Windows media player, insert USB into computer down load to that, plug USB into socket in glove box or fit adapter and plug into ashtray and go to Media and you can play your tunes!!! Simples........ I have to admit still do not know how to download to playlist but do I need to no. The USB stick I used was from Amazon, flash drive fat 32 format made by Morselan. Assume not essential to have that make. Hurrah I can now really the fantastic Canton system in full glorious technsound.
  2. Hi, I have to be fair, I have had some 9 new model skodas over the years and the dealer attitude and service is better than good. I think with Covid there has been no training on the latest equipment. However Skoda themselves are becoming Volkswagenised ( if there is such a word). I am getting nearer to loading my music will keep you up to speed if you wish. My neighbour is an ex services IT expert, so have high hopes.
  3. Hi Daddy Dan, Many thanks for your suggestion however I wish I had that facility on the new 2021 Infotainment system all you have is two USB connections one in the centre console for charging and one in the ashtray that connects mobile phone to the infotainment system. I have successfully put music onto Fat 32 USB but still cannot transfer. Skoda I do not think even understand the problem as they do not know how to respond intelligently to me. Hope to talk to one their guys on the next couple of days, so maybe ??? Best wishes Kliment.
  4. Hi Dreema, Unfortunately I have the latest Superb that does not have the DVD/CD in the glove box. All I have is a USB C connection in ashtray. But I will try what you have suggested because logically it should work so thanks Klim
  5. Do I need a specific usb to load music. Dealer says just load music to usb then plug into usb slot in ashtray then download. Is this true ? Anyone done this or has any thoughts?
  6. Erika, Hi, glad you resolved your nickname issue. I managed it by doing what Amari said by going on the VW site. Skoda could make it easier, but the quality of the car tends to offset this little issues . Also when you resolve them do you not feel great !!😁 Happy motoring Klim
  7. Well Amar, you are my new best friend. Did what you suggested on VW site nickname changed and now all my issues with new Columbus system are over. Many thanks my friend.
