  1. <^^^ website glitch> Note this is on a standard manual transmission where it only operates when out of gear and clutch-up - from the descriptions above I can understand the DSG behaves differently.
  2. And to prove there's as many opinions as there are people - this is the thing that annoys me the most about the Octavia S/S! Those bloody morons in front of you that have to keep shuffling forward when waiting at traffic lights! You've stopped behind someone and 5 seconds later your engine auto-stops, only them to immediately edge forward a metre and trigger it to restart; then it won't auto-stop again! Arrrggggghhhhh! I wish a could bloody disable that thing! In fact every "driver-assist" feature I'd like to switch off (yes, and it remember for the next start!) except the speed limiter. 3. Understand perfectly fine thanks. I don't think you understand the dashboard "range remaining" gives you *plenty* of leeway before the tank is actually empty. Far, far more than the inlet pipe.
  4. You put 52 litres in a 50l tank?! I think it's more likely to be a 55 litre tank - you will have at least an extra 50+ miles after the range hits "0". My manual (2021 Octavia 2.0 TDi Estate) says "About 55 litres, including a reserve of approx. 6 litres" and that seems about right to me. I'm guessing the "reserve" is where the dash reports zero.
  5. For me, this is the single biggest problem I have with car. Every single time I drive anywhere I have to go through a series of "pre-flight checks" just because the car remembers no settings from the last time you drove...
  6. 1. Fuel consumption! My 2.0 TDi Estate is averaging over 70mpg! I've never known anything like it. 2. I do like the interior lighting and the "Skoda" light projected into the floor underneath the front doors :-) 3. Did I mention the fuel economy?
