any chance of you being spotted at the New Forest meet (22/7)?
I shall check the work diary, (and with SWMBO!), but maybe!

He's an estate agent....
Enough said
You're not suggesting he'd be a bit devious are you?!
saw that in The Echo on saturday and left a comment! The guy's a total ****!
btw, you remain unspotted, just where do you hide
He seems like a prize ass..et for any company! Wonder if he still has his job?
Still hiding in Lordswood / M27 / Swanwick...shhh its a secret!

Expensive way to avoid parking costs!
Keep reading down through the comments to make it worthwhile.
"i've been made to look an idiot in the local paper. Everyone knows what I look like. Think i'll go and get abusive in the comments section, that will help"

Had 5 adults in the car and nobody moaned
you're not hanging around the right car-parks...

I'll echo both the welcome to Briskoda and to Southampton!

Good evening and welcome.
Might be best posting the same question in the fabia II forum here

I have the Nokia Lumia 800 about a week, having upgraded from a boggo spec nokia - I have to say I like it very much! Whilst the Apple fans I work with derided it, everyone (them included) who has had a play has been very impressed with the slickness of the OS (win 7.5), the quality of the screen and the feel of the phone itelf. Its a good camera also.
I've only had a little play with the voice-dialling, via the headphone/speaker, worked perfectly. Not sure how well it works with other systems.
Downsides - sealed battery, non expandable memory (but about 13gb to play with), Limited apps but more becoming available daily.
Battery life is similar to that mentioned above, gonna be charging once a day.
Maybe worth a look/play anyway?

I got an advisory last year for delaminating backbox - in typical fashion I did F-all until this year.
Loosened off the mounts, wrapped some galv sheet steel around, secured using steel bands, gaps filled with gun gum. The tester was very impressed, asked if it was a professional rebuild!
think the steel cost a fiver in the end - check for a metal fabricator near you!

I fixed my xbox not long ago - had the disc read error.
I ended up opening it up, changing the laser unit in the drive, put it back together and 8 months later all is still fine.
The laser unit cost £7ish (http://www.amazon.co...35542668&sr=8-2), and no risk of drive not being recognised
plus i am not great at diy/electronics, and yet I didn't f*** it up! Gotta love instructional videos on Youtube
ETA there may be slight differences in the laser unit, depending on manufacturer. Amazon have this one too which thinking about it, is the one I bought! Just open up the xbox and check which brand before buying

There might be a bit of umming and arring over the exhaust but, I don't think it's blowing or anything it just looks a little worse for wear.
Attacking a Scrappers in So'ton this weekend for some more bits and bats though xD
I had the "delaminating back-box" advisory last year, so my dad got some galvinised sheet steel, we wrapped it round the box with some steel bands, filled the gaps with gun gum.
not only did it pass, the tester asked if it had been professionally rebuilt!
not sure on the 20th, will check shifts and get back to you all

Did Southampton to Ayr a couple of weeks ago, filling the vent tank - I could only fit in £35 to go back to the brim for the return.
scores were 433 miles, avg 61mph, 61.2 mpg and 160 left in the tank.
(of course, this wasn't Trip 2!)

I went from a 1.4 16V Fabia to a vRS so I can tell you from 1st hand experience that all the small changes add up to a completely different feeling car... It's really small things like the black head lining that give the vRS the feel of being a different car, and not just a faster version of what you've been driving..
The different steering wheel & metal pedals, the wider wheels with lower, stiffer springs make the whole experience seem a like a step up.
The biggest difference I found though, was motorway ride quality... The vRS sits like a much bigger / better car, totally planted, where as my lil 1.4 16V would be bouncing around all over the place.
All of the above! I went from the 1.4 100bhp to my fabia vRS, and I haven't looked back. A far more pleasant car to own, more fuel efficient, cheaper road tax, and TORQUE!

I have 2 bottles of Henry Westons 2010 vintage cider to try tonight with a whopping 8.2% Alc.
Dangerous stuff, and a firm favourite of mine!
Lady E, thats news to me - I may have to investigate; purely for research purposes!

Traditional green and white brisky sticker in rear window.
Black "letters only" website address below rear numberplate.
I've not spotted anyone else, but have had 2 people in an octavia vRS point at my stikers whilst at red lights.

Blimey That's not cool, glad to hear your son got out ok etc.
Does seem a rarity, I don't recall many people on here with similar stories - I m suprised no-one else has commented on this yet!
I don't really have any knowledge on this, but to give others a clue - did the fire brigade give any info on the location or what was on fire?
Good luck with the insurers - don't accept their first offer!

Sweet, glad that you got it sorted.
I did the same with that guide....wish I had added pics of the new part to my guide, but i'm not taking it apart again to take some pics!

I'd go with the brake light switch.
+1.
Happened to me a month or so back, couldn't find an up-to-date guide, so had a go anyway.
Got it done, and have written a "how-to" which you can find here
Hope this helps

Boost Solenoid hoses
in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Posted
Afternoon all,
So on the mice have been at my Scout engine bay, and as well as chomping on the foam backing of the undertray, they have munched the small diameter pipes leading to the Turbo solenoid (N75??).
Looking at replacing them, I just wondered if anyone had any experience to contribute? I'm pretty certain the part number is 04L131051C and they aren't very expensive. Not looking to mod/upgrade as the vehicle is likely to become the property of WBAC/Motorway in the very near future...
Thanks all
