Juddering low gears
Thank you for the update. I'll go for another drive this week and see if it happens again. If it does, I'll call Skoda too.

Juddering low gears
Hi. Any luck with this? I've got an auto (don't judge) 2ltr diesel. Just drove 20 minutes and about 5 minutes in to the drive I felt juddering at about 20-40 mpg. I switched to manual it says M4 (fourth gear) at about 35 mph. I can go up gears fine. I went back to auto and stopped at the lights. Moved off fine, went to manual at M2 but it wouldn't go up. Back to auto and accelerated, it juddered and eventually felt it got in to gear. So guessing it's something happening around third gear Feels like a clutch/flywheel issue maybe? Seems to be when gentally accelerating. I don't want to rev it too much incase it is a clutch/flywheel issue.

What powers the 12v socket in boot?
It doesn't take much to drain the battery. I had a work safety GPS tracker plugged in to the 12v. Just a little thing that doesn't seem to use much, but after a week over Christmas not driving the battery was nearly flat.

Remapping
Would remapping effect insurance cost too? Would it be classed as an after market modification?

Software
A phrase list would be a good idea. I wish it worked more like google/alexa so that it understands however you say a command.

Software
There have been some improvements to the software since the start. I've not had as many issues with the aircon/climate control. But overtaking is a pain with ACC similar to what GreenlineIIEstate mentioned. Although the interface is less glitchy, it does take some getting used to. I personally still find it annoying to use - I have to wait till I'm on a clearer bit of road before touching the aircon, radio etc. Like most people, we all like a knob or two.

Great drive. How are you finding your mk4?
Yes, hopefully the software should be tweaked and fixed in time. I've had a couple of over the air updates and it seemed to sort out a few glitches and speeded up the load time. Still would prefer real buttons for the climate controls, getting used to it though.

So how is everyone finding their mk4? I've been driving Vauxhalls for a while and didn't even consider getting anything else. But after all the issues over a couple of years I decided that I needed a change. Apart from the touchscreen controls I'm loving my new car. I drive varied roads and do 50-150 miles per day for work. It handles brilliantly and I normally drive on eco mode giving awesome mpg. What are your best/worst (excluding the infotainment system) bits? I saw some posts about the amazing fuel performance. Who would be interested in doing a little competition on best fuel economy? Maybe post the results every month?
