  1. New Panasonic battery fitted, make sure not to touch the button on the door handle and it still locks the doors just as I get in or get out of the car. Oh well. Looks like I am resigned to taking it into the dealer for them to play with until they can 'reproduce the fault' despite it occurring every day for me. They want £20 for a courtesy car then £10 every day thereafter. They say it's for insurance which I have never heard of as every other dealer I have engaged with (VW, Honda and Ford) all just needed me to bring my policy certificate to prove I had full comp ?
  2. Thanks for the help guys. I have some new Panasonic batteries I will try and also make sure to discharge the remote with holding down a button before replacing the cell. If it happens again I'll mention to the dealer about other reporting faulty door lock/sensor to see if how quickly they can get a replacement in.
  3. Sometimes when I get out the car and shut the drivers door I hear a click and the doors have locked but without the door mirrors folding in. I thought it may be me touching the sensor on the door handle so now take care to close the door without touching the handle. Sometimes when I unlock the car with the remote fob, then get in the car I hear the doors click and then when I try to start the key with the Start/stop button it gives me a warning that the key is not in range, even though it's a foot away from the dashboard. To get around this whilst sat in drivers seat I either lock the car and then unlock it and it's fine or touch the remote fob against the Start/stop button and the ignition comes on. I had it in the dealers and they found no problems, the replaced the battery as I had twice already, then next day it did it again and again. It's got to be something silly I am doing. The dealer wants me to leave the car with them for a few days but that's not practical for my job. Anyone any ideas ? Skoda Karoq Sportline 1.5TSi MY21.
  4. Doesn't that only happen if the AirTag owners iPhone has been out of range for 3 days ? Just checking as I have just ordered an AirTag to try similar. I was hoping it would work and not need the £50/year subscription for Skoda Connect.
  5. Thanks Ken. Would you mind showing a photo of it please ? Is it fairly rigid ? How much would you like for it ? Darren
  6. I bought a new Sportline 1.5TSI DSG a couple of months ago with a full size spare wheel fitted from build. I wondered if it is possible and what I'd need to replace the full size wheel with a space saver for the odd occasions we need more boot space. I see in the boot that the carpet floor is at it's highest level and that when the wheel and polystyrene is removed, the carpet cannot drop down as it is wider than the gap available so presumably I would need another boot floor too ? Has anyone any experience of this or ideas please ? Thanks
  7. Hi Andy, I had the same issue as you so fitted a clamp on ferrite filter around the cable immediately after the micro-usb connector going into my old A118c dashcam I repurposed from an old car. The filter made a big difference but when you get away from the bright lights of Hull on a back road the FM reception gets wiped out until you power off the dashcam. Do you loop the cable twice through the filter and can you post pic of where you have the camera fitted please ? Are you using 3M double sided stickies to mount to the plastic or a clip of some kind as my dashcam falls off when the car gets warm in sunshine. Appreciate any advice.
  8. I've had my new Karoq Sportline 3 weeks and not noticed any rattle till I took it down the motorway this weekend. Whenever we got over 65 mph the rattle seemed to come from the opposite side to the driver or passenger. The passenger tried touching and opening stuff but could not track it down. I will try the rear view mirror tonight. There is a dash cam fitted next to it so that may be the culprit too.
  9. I picked up my new Karoq Sportline 3 weeks ago and love it.
