  1. Not sure, it was a long time ago...
  2. I'd heard these described as ditch finders elsewhere on this forum, only put them on as a) going on rear do not driven and b) was all that Costco had in my size when I went to get them fitted...
  3. I guess I'm on no set budget. My attitude is that these are providing the only contact with the road so want the best all-round. The only caveat is that I'm not changing the rears at present, and these are Michelin Primacy I think.
  4. It's a garage, and I haven't asked. They're not a hankook official dealer
  5. Thanks, in terms of mileage, this year I did about 8000, and that's the highest I've ever gone with it. Lock downs and wfh have kept it quite low...
  6. Hi All, looking for some advice. I've recently got hold of some Bilstein B6 shocks for my L&K, but I'm getting the front tires changed at the same time, so tracking only needs doing once. The garage has come up with this list, but I'm not sure I like the sound of any of them: Avon ZV7 - £97.95+VAT per tyre Uniroyal Rainsport 5 - £98.95+VAT per tyre Hankook Ventus S1Evo3 Tyre - £114.95+VAT per tyre Pirelli Powergy - £119.95+VAT per tyre Hankook Ventus Prime 4 - £139.95+VAT per tyre I've got Hankooks on at the moment, and they're a bit scrabbly. Another thing with them is that the garage has said they're getting a lot of returns on Hankooks with premature degradation. They have said if there's a particular tire I want, they can probably get hold of it...
  7. Well, mine's fixed now. Not sure why. I had previously taken off and cleaned the nozzle, put it back and it still wasn't working. So when I eventually got round to it, I took the nozzle off again, asked my wife to look at it while I went and did the spray thing. Cue big jet of water coming out vertically and soaking my wife (result!). Put the nozzle back on and it's working again, although I need to redirect the jets a bit.
  8. No, afraid not. I didn't actually get a new one but when I took the old one off and made sure there were no blocks, it still didn't work. I need to take it off again and get the missus to stand there and tell me if there's anything coming out without the jet thing on. And if not, get the cladding off the boot lid and see if i can trace it back. The number plate washer bit seems to be working so water's at least getting back there...
  9. Hi, I've recently noticed that my rear washer's not working. Fronts work fine as do the light washers and even the rear number plate washer work, just not the rear windscreen one. I'm not seeing any water spilling out as if there's a split there. I would normally just bowl in and stick a needle in the holes, but didn't want to break anything. Just wondering if it's a common issue and if there's a quick fix? Edit: the wiper works fine Thanks in advance
  10. As above, currently need new rears, got hankooks all round at the moment but wondering if there's a go-to tyre for these. The idea is that when the fronts go I'll swap on the same again... Size is 235/45/r18w
  11. Thanks, might get it inspected. My comparison is to a '19 Mazda 6 and a '17 Jag XF. I get round it by setting everything but gearbox to sport, it's fine in most situations, but you feel it on the motorway...
  12. Haven't tried different tyre pressures tbh, they were set at the "fully loaded" pressure when I got it, so I reduced that as it's mainly just me in there. It's done 45000 miles, and appears to have been a company lease before I got it. I had to get a towbar fitted to take my bike rack, so no towing...
  13. And another thing... I find it strange that the interior courtesy lights don't come on when you switch the ignition off, only coming on when you open the door. Previous to this car, we had various Mazdas, where the lights definitely came on when you pressed the button to switch off the engine. It's mildly annoying rather than a show stopper, but is there any fix?
  14. Hi, I've had my 2017 L&K for about 6 months now, and I love it, but probably similar to others, I find the suspension a bit wallowy in Normal, and a bit jittery in Sport. There are some speed bumps on my route to work where if I have it in normal, it feels like I'm driving a 50s Cadillac, it pitches that much. So, what do people recommend? New shocks? New springs? Are these things you can ask your garage to get in and fit? I'm not at all mechanical so wouldn't want to endanger myself and other road users by fitting myself... The other thing is, it's currently got Hankooks on, are these any good? They seem a bit wooden to me, but they're all quite new so wondering if I should just wait it out until they need a refresh, or get new ones on all 4 wheels right away...
  15. Yes, L&k. Makes sense now, thanks!
  16. Quick question, I've found in my boot 2 8"x4" 'pads' that are flat on the bottom and raised on the other side, like little pillows. Anyone know what they're for?
  17. Hi, sorry to dredge this one up after a while but I've had my 2017 l&k for about 2 weeks now and haven't been able to connect the app to the car. Mirror link won't work as oneplus don't support it, but setting up a WiFi hot-spot on the phone and connecting the car to it also doesn't work. Should I be able to run it via android auto? I put the vin into the app and it didn't say it wasn't compatible...
  18. I've had my Superb for about 10 days, loving it so far. Spec: 2017 L&K 220 Hatch, flappy paddles, rear wiper, etc. Not sure what's standard spec and what isn't tbh, but happy with what it's got...
  19. Hi everyone, I picked up my 17 plate Superb L&k 220 last Sunday and I'm enjoying it very much at the moment. Still trying to work my way through all the options on the infotainment, and failing to connect the MySkoda app but all good so far. Impressed by the comfort and turn of speed, maybe not so much by the mpg, but I haven't taken it on a proper run yet... Just here to pick up some tips and learn about skoda ownership...
