  1. I'll see if I can dig out the invoice for mine, you may be able to compare with yours...
  2. I did get it sorted. I had the pulldown motor changed, to no effect, then had another garage look at it and they gave it a good ging over, concluding thst it was in fact the struts. These were changed out and everything's been fine since. One thing of note, the distributor sent the wrong struts in the first instance, then the correct ones, could you have had some confusion from your supplier?
  3. The garage I took it to said the error code was what you get when there's an obstruction stopping the full operation, but there is no obstruction
  4. Addendum: I've also got the virtual pedal thing, that works fine, when I can get it to trigger. Even when things were working OK, it only seemed to work when I was rummaging in the boot and it would close on me
  5. Hi, I've got a weird powered tailgate issue on my Superb. If I press the interior button I can hear the lock release, but nothing happens after. If I press the button on the outside of the boot, the lock releases but nothing happens. If I press that button a few more times, I will eventually start rising but only to about half way. If I press the outside button again, it'll drop back down again but I have to press down on the boot to get it to do the final catch. The button on the inside of the boot lid does nothing apart from occasionally dropping the boot down when it fancies it. I've tried manually pushing the bootlid to it's maximum opening and then holding the interior bootlid button for 3 secs. I get the funny beep but no change in behaviour. I took it to the garage, they said it was the pulldown motor. Got that changed, no difference in behaviour. Anyone had this before? Am I in for a new pair of struts?
  6. Not sure, it was a long time ago...
  7. I'd heard these described as ditch finders elsewhere on this forum, only put them on as a) going on rear do not driven and b) was all that Costco had in my size when I went to get them fitted...
  8. I guess I'm on no set budget. My attitude is that these are providing the only contact with the road so want the best all-round. The only caveat is that I'm not changing the rears at present, and these are Michelin Primacy I think.
  9. It's a garage, and I haven't asked. They're not a hankook official dealer
  10. Thanks, in terms of mileage, this year I did about 8000, and that's the highest I've ever gone with it. Lock downs and wfh have kept it quite low...
  11. Hi All, looking for some advice. I've recently got hold of some Bilstein B6 shocks for my L&K, but I'm getting the front tires changed at the same time, so tracking only needs doing once. The garage has come up with this list, but I'm not sure I like the sound of any of them: Avon ZV7 - £97.95+VAT per tyre Uniroyal Rainsport 5 - £98.95+VAT per tyre Hankook Ventus S1Evo3 Tyre - £114.95+VAT per tyre Pirelli Powergy - £119.95+VAT per tyre Hankook Ventus Prime 4 - £139.95+VAT per tyre I've got Hankooks on at the moment, and they're a bit scrabbly. Another thing with them is that the garage has said they're getting a lot of returns on Hankooks with premature degradation. They have said if there's a particular tire I want, they can probably get hold of it...
  12. Well, mine's fixed now. Not sure why. I had previously taken off and cleaned the nozzle, put it back and it still wasn't working. So when I eventually got round to it, I took the nozzle off again, asked my wife to look at it while I went and did the spray thing. Cue big jet of water coming out vertically and soaking my wife (result!). Put the nozzle back on and it's working again, although I need to redirect the jets a bit.
  13. No, afraid not. I didn't actually get a new one but when I took the old one off and made sure there were no blocks, it still didn't work. I need to take it off again and get the missus to stand there and tell me if there's anything coming out without the jet thing on. And if not, get the cladding off the boot lid and see if i can trace it back. The number plate washer bit seems to be working so water's at least getting back there...
  14. Hi, I've recently noticed that my rear washer's not working. Fronts work fine as do the light washers and even the rear number plate washer work, just not the rear windscreen one. I'm not seeing any water spilling out as if there's a split there. I would normally just bowl in and stick a needle in the holes, but didn't want to break anything. Just wondering if it's a common issue and if there's a quick fix? Edit: the wiper works fine Thanks in advance
