  1. I’m still sticking by lambda sensor myself that’s what gave me massive issues on my misfire
  2. My engine light came on earlier saying check oil but When I look online it’s saying 2 kinds of oil now I have a mk2 vrs 2.0 tsi petrol 2009 I’ve seen it says 5w 30 and also seen 10w 30 what do others use in there car ? also I’m told the octavia’s do use quite a bit of oil is this true ?
  3. Nice 1 for that write up it’s deffo something to be considered tho !
  4. Skoda maybe ? i tend to always use euro car parts to be fair but failing that then Skoda direct
  5. Matt I have vcds and I’m only in derby if you want me to plug it in I had a very similar issue to you I had a misfire and it came up with lean bank 1 etc so I replaced the coils and sparks and still had the issue replaced the maf still same issue and it ended up being my lambda sensor and now I feel I have a brand new car !!
  6. I’ve also got the Mtec drilled and grooved on my octavia vrs petrol and it’s great for stopping to be fair I’ve had them on For about 1580 miles and still stopping very well upto now !!
  7. I have already changed the the packs and spark plugs - looking in to remapping etc and a decent filter set up
  8. Hey all I’ve got a 2009 2.0 tsi mk2 petrol but looking to get a safe 300bhp what do I need to look at upgrading to a hive these kinda figures if possible ?
  9. I’ve had the same issue my mechanic has just taken the gearbox out to sort the leak as apparently it’s behind the clutch so I’ve been told ! Mine was caused by putting on a cheaper PCV valve and had to buy a genuine 1 again anyways
  10. I’ll try and have alook see if I can find the thread to be fair the car is still off the road and not moved since ☹️
  11. So the pvc had a China 1 on for about 2 weeks and was still giving me issues and now it’s leaking pretty bad - now I’ve got a genuine part on the misfire etc has all slowed down but …… it’s getting worse I’ve done 20 mile in it and it’s everywhere so guess it’s the main seal - I’ll ask him to look at the clutch and flywheel etc and see what’s what I guess - I just want the dam thing running right so I can make it in to a stage 2 but I seem to have a boost issue also so it came up on an obd reader but on vcds it says the boost position sensor that’s it code PO236P so it’s a pending fault I guess with a PO171P and a PO171 so it’s all kicking off at the moment with it
  12. I dont really know to be fair hopefully get more updates later he also says I’ve got a boost issue but doesn’t show as over or under boosting so guessing I need the boost pressure sensor also I’m guessing too
  13. Hi all I’ve been told I’m losing oil from the rear seal and that the gearbox has to come off ?? Is that correct it’s only weeping tho for now ?
  14. Maybe not I’ve got a code of po171 !!!
