  1. Vrs se 2007, does anybody have issues with high tickover revs and when driving? It use to only be when on long journeys and stopping for minutes then restarting engine it revs high, but this is happening regularly now
  2. Oh, great, thanks for getting back to me, might just phine Autoglass and hopefully find one.... Thanks again
  3. Got the SE fabia vrs, anyone know where to get a oem windscreen from? Appreciate help!
  4. Thanks Lee, great news that I haven't spent nearly £50 on them, thanks for the rapid response, appreciate it, just hope the old uns come out without a fight... Thanks again buddy Nick
  5. Trying in vain to find out the size of the brake nipple size because want to beef up brakes and discs and ordered brake speed nipples but unsure they fit?? Was under impression they are standard M10 thread.. Hope somebody can help.. Its a VRS SE 6Y2 BLT 2007 model fabia
  6. Highly recommended Tanya batteries ( not brand ) just 1 warning, when placing order MAKE SURE they don't use Yodel as the courier company cos they are crap.....3 days missed delivery yet IN on every occasion... complete waste of time...phoned Tanya, re-orded again but asked for a different courier company ( uk mail ) and within 16hrs of putting down the phone the battery was here...hat's off to uk mail & Tanya..
  7. Hate to but in guy's, but if you watch "super cars, super build" Quest channel, you would of seen the makings of a Lamborghini being built, then a 'Varta' battery fitted........ I was a little gobsmacked to say the least..
  8. Yes, I've tried that but yes, sometimes that does work, but the last time the erratic tickler happened, every time I changed gear the idle was about 1400, to a point, it's dangerous especially when going down a step hill, the car wantsto go faster cos of the throttle stuck open..... might just with your suggestion of the throttle pedal, then work my way with camshaft sensor, then coolant sensor & finally the (is it MAF sensor) I think it's called.... Thanks for replying buddy, luckily it only happens on a pedal flat to metal journey, every time the EGR comes on but that's usual ( use forte to cure on fill up)
  9. Driving car sometimes hard, stopping for a quick pee, when starting car again the tickover is high and erratic...... I drive on, but getting to lights/junction, the st tickover can be as high as 1500rpm & won't settle down???? Any ideas please, is it a common problem??
  10. For all those out there with a vrs se (2007) lets just hope you don't need a rear bumper in the near future.... I had a slight accident in March 2013.... and as yet, I am still awaiting a replacement from Skoda.... they have everybody involved from here to the other side of the world...... they acccept the bumper(s) were faulty and the wrong mold but as yet am still awaiting a resolvement........to add insult to injury, when I approched skoda about rust on the sill, they pointed out that they would have to look at all factors including my commitment and loyalty to skoda..... I think they have a nerve.... don't suppose I will get as much as a sorry for the wait..
  11. feel for you, I got 465 and some turd keyed the side of mine on the drive.... was going to put a banner out the next day saying " You ad the b*** to key my car, but have you got the b*** to come and tell me you done it" like you, I thought I didn't have any enemies, but this day & age the world has now got some sick b******* chin up tho, as somebody said, at least the panels aint dented, so there is some comfort there if little
  12. Can someone please help... I have a vrs se '07' plate with 33k on clock, there is a vary small rust spot on the side of the sill, yet when I have been to the Skoda dealer, all they keep saying is it's a stone chip.... It definately isn't this because the paint hasn't chipped, its just a small bubbling of rust which seems to be coming from inside the sill outwards.. so I was wondering if anybody out there can give me some guidence to what I can do or go?? Thankyou for any suggestions
  13. Got the limited edition of the 07 plate vrs.. has anybody got any problems with there motor?? the defect on the paint is on the spoiler on the boot, its faded and sort of bubbling, and the rust is on the sill, its only very small, but even so, for a car that has only done 30k and not 6yrs old yet, you just don't expect this... Have popped into a skoda dealer and shown them, they took photo's and said they would foward these to the warranty dept.. but mean while, wanted to find out if this is an isolated case or not!!
  14. Well I must say you have done a good job on the step by step guide, my only critism, I did prompt you before you fitted the battery, and that was to check the power steering fluid because to check, you have to remove both battery & tray, I did check mine, and luckily for me, it was only just on the very tip, so needed topping up, and power steering pumps aren't cheap.
  15. Dealer offered me £5,300 on mine (vrs se 07 plate) with 26k on clock and immaculate in and out. So what was that one selling for and where? :wonder:
