  1. C'mon, it's just fantastic. The gloss black plastic frame though, could be better - just because it's super hard to keep shiny... but the DSG gear selector is amazing! Like someone said, you can't really please everyone...
  2. Hello, Indeed I also noticed this one. For my case however (Lisbon, Portugal), this was done when I dropped my Octavia iV for a major software update (to solve the Navigation settings not saving issue). Tbh I don't notice changes to the recuperation - previously I had mine to "High" and now I have it to "On". I believe they should be the same... but not 100% sure. Would like also to know further... Cheers
  3. Have you done any progress? I've just checked my VIN plate and there's the infamous 0kg stated. I'm totally ****ed off about this... Sorry, but does your Skoda have the correct VIN figures then?
  4. Hello, I have the exact same doubt here. On my case I bought a Skoda Octavia Break Style iV and, as you state, I also thought this would be a feature coming through the "Style" package... this also since I was to actually buy a service car iV and I could swear that I've seen these lights on this service Octavia iV... although the dealer at the time said "no, no - you've seen it wrong etc."... tbh, I still don't believe it; I *have* seen these lights - it got my attention (the "wow effect" once I opened the door to the Octavia, as I was actually going to look for a Karoq or Kamiq). Despite the above, truth is mine doesn't have this nice feature... also, I don't know if this can be included afterwards or not... PS: I'm from Portugal. Maybe this can be relevant on the features offered on the "Style" and "Sport" packages(?).
  5. Hello, Struggling with this topic as well! I own a Skoda Octavia iV Estate... and was looking to buy a TowBox for my German Shepherd Dog. As of now, it seems, it's just not possible to fit a tow ball (even if not electrical/retractable)... is this like so? Anyone can confirm? Thanks
  6. Great! Will definitely give it a try. I think if you use reduced charge rate, the tension is lower - it will take more time to charge, but won't be so "aggressive" to the battery, thus not heating so much, etc. I'll try this then. Will be interesting to see how much more time it takes to fully charge.
  7. Hello, Can you share some tips on battery life, what’s the best way to charge it, so it has a long life and efficiency? Thanks!
  8. Hello, I have an Octavia Break iV, bought in September 2021, now with 2700 Km. I’ve noticed for a couple of times now that when driving at slow speeds, starting drive, in traffic, and especially on hills, that the car starts to bump… seems it’s choking and I had to press harder on the gas pedal to have it move… This happened always when I’m driving full electric - which I do 90% of the time. Has this happened to anyone? Can someone provide any inputs to this? Thank you!
  9. That's good to know indeed. However I'm using an iPhone and don't know if it works the same. Either way, what I can really tell, from my experience, is I think the 390 EUR for the SatNav are worth it imo. I'll try to post here some screens later so you see what I am talking about.
  10. Apple Maps integrates with your digital cockpit. You get notified and detailed instructions on it. As for Skoda's SatNav, well, that one integrates even better - you get to optimize your (re)charge also with detailed instructions, i.e. if you're driving through a slope road, the car tells you to remove the foot from the accelerator; the same when you're approaching a roundabout, etc. + you get this great screen on the digital cockpit.
  11. Can’t really agree. The integration features with Apple Maps and specially SatNav are just way better than using Google maps imho.
  12. Hey @marmex, thanks for the tip. Got the navigation already (390 EUR) and can only recomend. You get to have the satnav screen on the digital cockpit and the driving tips are just great like so. I’m now wondering if the Infotainment online service (49 eur) is also worth it...? Best
  13. Hey everyone, I’ve now almost 700km on my iV and after some highway cruises, well, time’s come for a good wash. What do you think is the proper way to wash? What tools, products, and techniques do you guys use? Although this seems silly, my question is genuine since I usually did wash my cars at auto-wash robots in gas stations, etc... and I’m really wondering what is the best option for protecting and caring the paint job. Thank you!
  14. Thanks for your feedback! re 1. I notice the integration with Apple’s Maps app is much better (you get the turn by turn instructions etc. ) when comparing to Waze or Google Maps… So is there Really a benefit from Nav vs Apple Maps? Then, trying to buy the navigation from the Shop in the Infotainment, I always obtain the error in attach. Do you have any ideia about the cause? Thanks a lot!!!
  15. Greetings, I’m curious about acquiring the navigation for my Octavia Break iV... but don’t know if it’s worthwhile. Are there any advantages vs Apple CarPlay? Thanks
