  1. Link should work now. Copying link on phone didn't work as I expected. https://golfmkv.com/forums/index.php?threads/how-to-disable-15-seconds-alarm-delay.146764/post-3164088
  2. Maybe this could help https://golfmkv.com/forums/index.php?threads/how-to-disable-15-seconds-alarm-delay.146764/post-3164088 If that option is there flipping it to "active" might make the alarm behave as you want. In VCDS, 46 Central Convenience Module, go to long coding, and select byte 10 bit 3: Anti Theft Alarm Delay (15sec) inactive (Thatcham) Now the alarm sounds immediately when opening the door!!!
  3. So got my HEX V2 now and got a scan. If I'm reading it right my ABS module is already coded for PLA 3.0. 4. Great write up, just followed this myself. Longest part was a tie between removing/fitting glove box to access the fuses and trying to retrieve a screw that I managed to drop down the air vent! But now I have a daughter who can play on tablet on long journeys. 🙂 I certainly recommend the official cig lighter removal tool, took about 30 seconds to the lighter out.
  5. I'm looking to get a used Hex-net but was just wondering how common are fake hex-net devices. I've seen lots of Hex-v2 fakes, some asking for over £100 used! I've had a look on sites like Aliexpress and cant see any fake hex-nets on there. So hoping that going for a hex-net will reduce the risk of buy a fake device.
  6. That looks like the control unit the front and rear parking sensors plugs into. I've got front and rear sensors. It looks like you must only have rear parking sensors.
  7. Hi, Any chance of the latest firmware for this? Device part number: 5Q0035874B Hardware: H31 Software: 0363 Installed SW train version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0363T Thanks.
  8. Hi, I'm liking the new (to me) car and it's plenty of toys on it. But I'd like to retrofit the Park Assist if it's possible for a sensible price. It's currently got the 8 parking sensors (4 front and 4 back). Anyone able to tell me if it's just a matter of adding the 4 sensors (2 on either side at front and back) and changing the controller? Are the wiring looms likely to need replacing or will the existing ones have connectors for the extra sensors? I haven't been able to get a VCDS scan of the vehicle yet, but have checked the old fashioned way and have found the following: Parking controller : 5QA919 294 A ABS pump: 5Q0 614 517 AM (MK100ESC) - I've seen things about ABS needing to support PLA 3.0. The VAG code for 7x2 is shown erwin as below. 7X2 VWGROUP EPH "PARK DISTANCE CONTROL" PDC front and back (for Radio Bolero andnavi with direction detection) I'm going to get a reversing camera at some point, just not sure if I need to wait and get revserse camera AND extra sensors done at the same time if the wiring looms will need replacing. Thanks.
  9. I find it an annoying "feature". I first had it happen to me when I was at a roundabout. A van went round the roundabout in front of me and the car decided to start itself up again. I've only noticed it happening when the car in front is pretty close, i.e. within range of the parking sensors. Maybe need to do some experimenting with how big/small a gap I need to leave for it to not happen.
  10. Hi, Just couple of weeks ago got myself a late 17 plate Octavia 2.0 TDI (face lift version). With SE Tech (Ambition?) trim. Already looking at what upgrades I get for it. When I was buying it I kept remembering the jokes from 80's about Skoda's. Hope that them jokes are no longer relevant! Rob
