  1. Either the data in the system is wrong or the dealer was lying.
  2. That's strange, since there is an overall shutdown of pruduction planned between December 23rd and January 10th. During this time, all workers are to be in paid leave.
  3. That was the official Skoda position as mentioned in their internal newspaper. But I guess plans change? Skoda is currently producing cars that they can fully complete (also in the internal newspaper) as they don't want to increase their stocks of semi-finished cars. That is why we are seeing orders from June, July being completed, rather than our 99% finished cars, sitting in the parking lots. 😞 Only the surpluss parts are being allocated to finishing incomplete cars. According to the customers, who are reporting deliveries (forum data), currently Skoda is finishing cars that were semi-produced in weeks 29 and 30 right now. Mine was produced in week 35, so there is hope.
  4. For those, that are still waiting on the car to be built, provisional build weeks are visible in the Skoda order application at the dealer. For those, who have a VIN and their car partly built (like me) no further build plans are visible in the system. Saw it today with my own eyes. My dealer showed me the system in desparation, because he cannot provide me any more info than that.
  5. 9.feb 2021 here.
  6. Well, 1000 doesn't seem alarming to me. On my previous car it was (when connected to a diagnostics tool) around 870 and the rev counter showed 900. So basically a 100rpm difference could be due to the fact that they are using low-friction oil these days and are ramping up the rpm to increase lubrication on idle. Guessing that Dave's idles at 1000 too, it cannot be due to the outside temperature.
  7. AFAIK, it still has sport suspension, just not lowered due to battery safety. Should also come with independent rear suspension and not a torsion bar.
  8. They certainly have the whole world by the ba*ls... I'd just like to receive my car that has been standing incomplete since week 35. 😛
  9. I have a vRS on order with the virtual pedal. As the car is currently unfinished, I tried to get info, what is missing and if only the virtual pedal was missing, I was willing to give it up in order to receive the vehicle early. Apparently, there is no such dealer--->importer---->manufacturer communication that would make that possible. Even if it would benefit Skoda. Go figure.
  10. That is the reason Skoda is currently focusing almost all efforts into building new vehicles and less effort into completing the unfinished ones. I read that in the Checz forum (although it was not officially confirmed). If the magnesium stocks run out, they will have still a fleet of unfinished vehicles to pump out...
  11. They autounlock in case of an accident.
  12. The 5E3 code on the sticker should refer to MK3 Octy? Or am I mistaken?
  13. Probably codec and format related... What was the codec used (H264, H265) and what was the video format (.avi, .mkv)?
  14. Looking god man! Post pics when you install them.
  15. That was really just the basics. Like I said, drove a 700€ Canton upgrade and it was a joke. My old JVC radio with oval speakers on the rear shelf sounded better. 😛 Thanks for the input, will take into consideration. Maybe you were quoted for a higher range speakers and woofer.
  16. I was quoted 900€ for installing: - ESX mini digital amp - full ESX Horizon speaker replacement - under-the-seat woofer - full door audio insulation - full instalation and cables Supposely way better than Canton sound in the end. I test drove a car with Canton and it sucked... Would not want to pay 700€ for that...
  17. I'm really happy for all of you, that are receiving your cars and extremely unhappy that Skoda won't produce mine.
  18. I have the metallic red on order.
  19. See attached image. I use the translator, but you get the point. All the info is in his signature.
  20. Got you beat there. February 2021 but probably there's some here that are waiting even longer. I've been reading the German Octavia forum. They have people from November, December 2020 still on the wait...
  21. Yeah, I read somewhere (don't know where) that they got a significant shipment of semiconductors from Malaysia...
  22. From Skoda internal newspaper: "M13 Octavia - Last week, the M13 produced all week, only without the first night shift from Sunday to Monday. In total, employees produced 5,832 cars." Looking good for people who are still waiting on production, looking bad for us that are waiting for completion...
  23. Currently, Skoda has resumed normal production and are once again focusing on producing new vehicles, rather than completing the already built ones (with missing components). Only here and there an unifinished vehicle gets completed in the last 10 days. We'll see if there's another shutdown of production with focus on completing built cars (as was in the last 2 weeks of October) in this year. If not, we're doomed for 2022.
  24. You just described my dealer (Porsche Verovškova) in exact detail. 😛 Also, my story is very similar to yours, ordered on 9th February, car produced (unfinished) 1st week of September.
  25. I completely agree. In the 9-month waiting time so far for me, the dealer did not initiate any communication. All was done from my side. Unacceptable. For a while now, I've been communicating mainly with head od sales. The regular sales staff is just plain incompetent.
