  1. Sorry for the comment after so long but I am currently trying to do this. Did you have any luck in doing so? Was there much involved? Ive almost given up and decided to switch the bases so I’ll have leather on the normal cloth metal bases so no functionality for heated/memory/ electric etc. Even that is proving to be a pain as there are no instructions anywhere on how to take apart the front seats and it isn’t exactly jumping out at me either. Any help is appreciated
  2. Hi all its been a long time since ive owned a skoda (just over a year) and I recently bought 2 superbs. For tax reasons 2008 is cheaper to tax than any previous year so I found a low mileage 1.9tdi superb mk1 2008 and im transferring bits from my 2005 high spec superb into it. I have a few issues however. (Sorry for such a long post) The rear right door on my 2008 will not open. The rest of the doors lock/ unlock just fine but this will not open either way - from outside or inside. Ive tried hitting and banging every part inside and out to no avail. Ive tried pulling up the lock silvery part still nothing. Is there any way of getting it open? Also the connectors were unplugged when I looked - so I plugged them in and got my windows working but still no lock. It does beg the question of why were they disconnected however I know it was working in September as it passed our national testing service and would have to have been working for that. Another issue, more of a question really, I have mint condition half leather heated memory electric seats Im planning on putting in my cloth normal seated superb. Obviously the wires arent there so I have started taking the wires from the loom however Im wondering how far I have to go. Did Skoda make all fuse boxes the same or will I also have to do that part? If anyone knows about this it will probably save me a good few hours. Hopefully I’ll be able to help some people in this forum some time soon as I now have stripped a superb to the shell almost (will be 100% by the time im done) so I should know a thing or two. Thanks in advance
  3. As said in the title will the seats (back and front) fit in the mk2 octavia. I have been looking for leather seats for my car and cannot find any octavia leather seats and I dont want to get the vrs seats. After a minute of looking I have found plenty if superb seats but I am just wondering has anyone tried? I do not intend on getting electric seats also so would this be an issue (I cannot find details to see if the superb ones are electric or not sorry if Im missing something obvious) thanks
  4. My reason for wanting it is for the “backseat dj’s” in my car wanting to play music from their iphones which dont come with 3.5mm anymore 🤦‍♂️ Is there anyway of switching it with an adapter of some sort or something along the lines of that? The picture you sent is the one I was thinking of but I didnt have one on hand to try out. Retro fitting the MDI costs a fair amount of money and I want something on the cheap preferably
  5. Hi I was just wondering if I could buy an adapter from eBay such as a “3.5mm to usb female adapter” and plug and play audio (I know there will be no power) through the aux port in my armrest. Some of the sites Ive looked at say that certain cars will and won’t work so Im just wondering if anyone here has tried this to save me some time of waiting for delivery from China because Brexit has taken my fast shipping away 😞 Thanks in advance
