Delivery times?
It’s via Lex I believe (I’m vague as I have to communicate via my works vehicle finance team who then go via Lex who deal with the dealer….needlessly complicated of course). I think it really is just pot luck as to when cars arrive, doesn’t seem to be any particular system in place. I am going to contact Skoda UK directly, I know it won’t help but I feel it’ll do me good to vent my frustration at them directly😄

Delivery times?
Update from my lease company, the car which allegedly was going to be at the dealer 27/02/23 has not been built and they’ve moved the date out to….there is no date, but after September some time. Car was ordered in September 2021 so it’ll be over two years by the time i get it. I have tried to keep in mind that it is only a car, and there are far worse things happening to people in the world right now so it’s not worth getting too emotional about but this is a bit of a **** take. Order will be cancelled shortly I think, not that Skoda will care of course.

Sadly my company car scheme doesn’t offer the cash for car alternative otherwise I’d 100% have done this years ago!

Delivery times?
According to the portal I access to get updates on my new car (ordered via works lease scheme Sept 21) my car was due to come “into stock” at the dealer yesterday and they are meant to be contacting me to arrange delivery. I’m going to chase for an update tomorrow as I’ve heard absolutely nothing, and I fully expect to be told there’s been another delay. It’s the hope that kills you isn’t it😄

They took the iV off of the configurator a couple of months ago didn’t they, so this isn’t exactly hot off the press?

Delivery times?
According to the lease company my car is scheduled to be in stock 27/02/23, aiming to be delivered mid March. Ordered Sept 21 (VRS iV Estate). At what point do I receive the “it’s been delayed again” E mail i wonder😂

(If) your patience for waiting on your mk.4 order is running out.. What do you look at?
Literally just e mailed my company car scheme to ask if I can have a look at alternative options as I’m fed up of waiting now. Ordered a VRS phev Estate in September 2021 and am still sat here waiting for it. I too need a bigger car as have two young kids, but my problem is my company car scheme is so restrictive and also the last time I looked at the list everything had gone up in price so much since I ordered the VRS. I suspect I’ll just have to sit and wait even longer unfortunately. Skoda have been absolutely shocking through all of this. I understand the issues they’ve faced / are facing but the lack of communication is so bad.

Likewise, I’ll happily give you my place in the queue if it means you get your car sooner👍🏻

Delivery times?
Just had an update, my VRS iV Estate has been pushed back to end of Feb 23. Ordered September 2021 via my company car scheme. I’ve just e mailed the car company to ask if I can source a low mileage second hand car or i think I’ll just cancel my order. A colleague ordered a Golf plug in hybrid and received it in 3 months. I sympathise with the problems car manufacturers are having but Skoda have been appalling.

Delivery times?
Looks like I’ll have to be patient then, the last update I had was that the build date of September had disappeared from the system suddenly. Ah well, hopefully it’ll be a nice start to 2023 then🤞🏼

Delivery times?
Sorry if this is a silly question everyone but regarding the VIN number, is this only given once the car has a build date / they’ve started building it? I ask as my order was placed via the lease company my employer uses and they’ve been absolutely useless at keeping me up to date. They have a portal I should be able to check but it hardly ever works and when I e mail them their answers are so vague. Would be good to be able to get logged onto the Skoda app, even if only to torture myself a bit more…

Update from the lease company this morning, my VRS iV estate ordered in September 2021 has been delayed again until early October apparently. I’m thinking it’ll be 2023 before I actually see it😂

Delays Octavia VRS IV
There’s another thread on here about delays, they are widespread and some people have been waiting over a year for their cars already. I ordered my VRS iV estate in September, am being told it’ll be here in early July but I don’t expect to see it this year if I’m honest.

Delivery times?
Someone who lives 5 doors up from me had a blue VRS iV estate delivered today. I collared the delivery guy when he was dropping it off, he didn’t know when they ordered it so I’ll make sure i loiter around so i can “accidentally” bump into them and interrogate them😄

Delivery times?
Update from the dealer on mine today. VRS estate hybrid ordered mid Sept. No additional options selected. Unconfirmed build date of week 17 so potentially deliverable late May. I won’t be holding my breath😄

Ordered my VRS phev around a month ago, originally quoted March i think, then immediately changed to July. Hoping it’s more in line with your timescales!

Delivery times?
I’ve ordered the hybrid VRS as a company car as I have no choice in that matter. My employer has now switched the car policy so that ALL company cars have to be either full electric or plug in. My employer is one of the largest banks in the world, so if they are doing this and others are following suit then it may be that car manufacturers feel pressure to ensure they can fulfil these orders? Certainly I know that in the past when I have ordered a new company car it has been prioritised over “joe public’s” orders due to the amount of cars my employer / the lease company purchases, ie the manufacturers want to keep a big customer sweet. Purely speculation on my part, but this may be why hybrid orders are seeming to be fulfilled quicker.

100% agree with you. I don’t work in the automotive industry myself but I work in banking and a lot of my clients do. Supply of microchips is very hit and miss, supply chains are all over the place and therefore predicting anything with any degree of accuracy is very hard. I’m hearing reports of chips / supplies turning up unannounced. It’s encouraging to hear people getting their cars early but I’m not holding out too much hope myself!

Delivery times?
Hi all, brand new member here, found the site as it was recommended on Pistonheads. Just to add my input to the thread, I’ve ordered an Octavia VRS iV Estate via my works company scheme which is through Lex Autolease. Originally I was given an expected delivery date of Feb 2022 but I’ve just had an e Mail pushing it back to July 2022….patience is not one of my strong points usually so this is going to be a real test for me!
