No, I didn't tell them what pressures to put in. I've checked them once home and they were all set at 36 psi. Following your advice and others comments on here, I've set all at 34 psi, reset the TPMS and I'll see over the next few weeks what that is like.

I had the wheels swap done this morning. The 17 inch wheels are fitted with Michelin Primacy 4 tyres. The difference in noise level and ride quality is incredible given the small change in sidewall size.

I have a trailer board with dodgy lights that I attached to the car's electrics and took some photos of the dash. They are self explanatory, I think. I tried to take a photo of the indicator repeaters flashing, but they kept going off. 😊

The fitters I used always use vehicle specific wiring kits.

I've had another look at mine. Still no beeping. With trailer/bike carrier plugged in rear sensors are deactivated. Selecting reverse shows a brief schematic of a trailer attached to the tow bar on the infotainment screen. Messages are displayed on the 'virtual cockpit' if there is a fault with any of the trailer bulbs. Indicators show an extra green flashing icon if the trailer indicator bulb is lighting up; no extra flashing icon if the bulb doesn't light up. Still no beeping. I guess it's complying with the regs in a different and quieter way.

It was supplied and fitted by Chester Towbars, https://www.chestertowbars.co.uk/. I dropped the car off at 1pm and collected it at 4.30pm the same day. Not the cheapest quote I got but well worth the extra. I don't know if they cut the hole underneath or it was a pop out piece. Whichever, it's very neat. You can just see the loop for the breakaway cable but the photo was taken at ground level so not that noticeable really.

I have just had a Wesfalia swan neck detachable tow bar fitted to my Kamiq. Not cheap but from past experience, having a tow bar fixed plays havoc with my shins. The Westfalia is really neat and there is no sign that there is a towing bracket fitted when the ball is detached. The extra info on the dash is good too.

I have had it confirmed by Skoda UK customer service that the Kamiq can be fitted with 16, 17 and 18 inch wheels. Speaking with another Skoda dealership, I have been offered a swap of 4 17 inch wheels and tyres, Braga alloys with 205/55 R17 91V tyres, only charge being for 1 hours labour. I'm taking them up on the offer providing the Braga wheels and tyres are in good, nearly new condition as reported. The tyre or sidewall height of the three sizes are 122 mm on 16", 112 mm on 17" and 97mm on 18".

Thank you for the response. I believe you are right but to be fair to the dealership, I am starting to think my original query didn't get passed down the line correctly. I have spoken to another dealer's parts department and they confirm that 16 inch wheels can be fitted to the Kamiq. So the next job for me is to source the wheels and tyres.

My 2021 Kamiq sel auto has 18" wheels. I would like to change to 16" wheels but on querying my local dealer I was told that this was not possible. I am beginning to think there may have been a misunderstanding of my question as it looks like there is a 16" space saver wheel and an online alloy wheel merchant tells me 'yes you can fit 16" wheels'. So can anyone please tell me if it is possible to do this change?

Hello everyone. I have just taken delivery of a Skoda Kamiq Sel 1.0 Auto in meteor grey. Before choosing the Kamiq I test drove a number of cars and picked the Kamiq for its comfort, build quality, ease of driving and price. Because of the current 'chip' shortage I was given 7-8 months delivery for a factory build. I wanted to take advantage of the current high prices for used cars and searched the internet eventually finding a Kamiq, but not in the colour I would have chosen. You can't see the colour much from inside and I usually pick the cheapest (white) when buying new. The grey is growing on me.
