  1. looks like different countries must have agreed dates for release of reviews....loads of german ones today, so at some point in the next few days I would expect uk ones to land nobby and petrol ped and carwow will probably have already done them just waiting to release
  2. Yeah just saw it, looks good No real surprises though, it's fast it's spacious and it's decent enough inside, I know exactly what I am getting as I have had 4 already! I hope we get those rear headrest in the UK! But at least I know they make them with vrs interior fabric now so they will be available somewhere
  3. also tons of what appears to far eastern reviews on you tube..taiwanese maybe? but it sounds like we finally get an exhaust with a tiny bit of personality!
  4. the green one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mQGCWCDRZI&t=77s
  5. There's a video on youtube if one in a dealership, looks quite a striking colour
  6. almost the same as me I ordered around the same time in august, velvet red, rear wiper and canton, mine is build week 46 but only got told build week around 10th october I would guess they got quite a few orders in as they were running that good deposit contribution.. also, seen a few cars now with the aero inserts removed and its 100% confirmed my thoughts that they look loads better without it
  7. I noticed you get no sill protectors at all now on standard golf GTi, so glad we still get something
  8. i was thinking the same with the wheels they look much better withought the aero covers so I will be removing them any links to centre caps and nut overs much appreciated
  9. looks like I am getting mine before christmas, build week 46
  10. Not to bad, I was told it would be about 8 months for a golf GTi! Also noticed that VW put their prices up and Skoda didn't. You are over 40k immediately on a golf GTi now if you choose any if the optional coloours and nothing else I'm away at the moment so hopefully have a date for mine when we get back
  11. Same with me I went for velvet red, canton, rear wiper
  12. well sadly my local dealer pulman sunderleand) not budging away from list price, so works out pretty much identically to skodas own online finance calculator might have to reach out to silbury and lookers in newcastle
  13. Nice ..they must want get some orders on the books
  14. thoughts are theres deals to be made then....
  15. This would be my worry, I compromise on options to keep it under 40k and a price rise pushes it over anyway, so I end up missing out on stuff and paying the extra tax anyway
  16. Yep, I think that's what I did last time So I think it's going to be velvet red, canton and a rear bloody wiper, spare wheel and that's me lot,
  17. was trying to find this out for the service plans as well I would yes is the answer cos everything is designed to screw a motorist!
  18. its a big ask isnt it add a single option to the estate and you are into the luxury tax bracket......
  19. mind looking at comparing the two VW have your eyes out for options for the same fancy red paint, 390 from skoda, 800 from vw, and over a grand to get the 19's ( which you would want as the standard gti alloys are foul!)
  20. thats only 230 quid less than the equivalent Golf Gti by the time you choose a nice colour and add the adaptive supsension or an upgraded sound system...you are past 40k and stuck with loads more road tax..and thats set by the RRP..any discounts the dealer offer are not factored into , so even if you pay less than 40k your final road tax is based on the RRP not the discounted price poor show from skoda
  21. pricing will be interesting golf gti starts just under 40 grand so as soon as you add on options...just an upgraded infotainment system or DCC you are already over the 40k tax threshold? so DSG is standard now so thats probably 1400 quid straight onto the old RRP electric seat package and DCC is probably going to take you above 40k I reckon
  22. nice to see the power bump, also like the look of the new Vrs front grille and bumper set up, nicer than the non vrs one in my opinion would have loved to see physical air con controls back but probably too much engineering for a facelift I really want DCC next order I put in, but that 40k price barrier may be more difficult to get under even with just a couple of big options and I bet we get crappier seats with no adjustable thigh support aslo..whats with the no fog lights? is it a cost saving or are modern headlights doing away with the need for them?
  23. well mines coming up for 2 years old now..so its been in for a bit of a refresh and a coat of exo V5
  24. cleaning my car at the weekend I notice I have a chip on the bonnet, I suspect it happened during one of the recent storms as its quite far back and off the to drivers side and pretty deep rather than right on the front end of the car race blue octavia VRS not sure if they ever change the paint slightly over the different update of cars so dont want to order a 2020 kit if its not right
  25. I am finding it way better then my golf 7.5 standard audio but not as good as the dynaudio I had in my golf 7 canton seems to be lacking bass to me, the subwoofer seems a bit limp, so much so I actually checked to see it was physically there in the boot!
