yep im with you on that all the mods on my outback "lift kit, AT tires , bull bar , compressor, Molle panels were all covered via standard insurance as long as they were declared

yea a lot of stuff is " home made" so has no crash test safe cert etc .. its all about making " sensible " choices and not making it blatantly obvious to the authorities

ive asked this before as i was looking to bring my subaru ( in the picture ) back to the uk with the front bar etc and many were saying that it would be legal so i cant see any real probs with the option you fitted .. they are big in AU but it has to be securely bolted in place if not it will vibrate like F...

looks like your best option then mate .... as regards upgrading factory speakers i have been using Hertz for the past few years but that was in my subaru outback in australia but on the whole yep good speakers

ive only owned it about 6 weeks and i did report the mirrors were not working when i went to view it ... they did a lot of work on it before i picked it up including fit 2 new doors mirrors...im waiting for the weather to get a bit more frost into it so i can really see if they are working properly but and like you i leave mine on all the time ... Im comparing it to the mirrors on my 02 Audi A2 TDI .. they heat up that fast you can see the steam coming off them in no time at all

Now the weather has turned the old door mirrors are covered in water spray etc . But the heated mirrors only operate at a certain temp drop. Is there a way to have them come on when I want ?
