Fabia alloy wheels
That website you linked has some excellent wheels. Including the ones attached. Shame I can’t speak Czech… And the transport costs plus the customs clearance

Thank you for the info. I believe the new fabia is et51? This is what it states in the brochure

Fabia alloy wheels
Just took delivery of my brand new se-l dsg fabia. Lovely car. Issue is the wheels are too small. 16” but look tiny, probably because the arches are so big. Does anyone have a link to a good Skoda parts supplier so I can source some 17/18” from the accessories ? I’ve seen a company in Czech that has good stocks and choices but not sure if they are a reliable company. Thanks

Car rocking/swaying
This is probably down to the fact the dampers on this car are woefully inadequate. It rocks like a boat. Never had a car so floaty.

Skoda Scala SEL White & Black
I have seen some black Skoda badges on eBay - for a tempting £12. I take it the one you got from the Czech Republic is a better quality and original ? i am half tempted to get the cheaper one as it’s cheap and quick to deliver..the pictures however do make it look very shiny and glossy black. I guess I am looking for vindication to pay the extra over the eBay item !

1 month in - and still love the car. negatives are far and away the suspension. It’s so soft and wallowy. Great if it was a base spec but it’s the Monte Carlo, which is touted as a sports model - which certainly looks the part, but does not drive like it. Under damped and sits too high. infotainment is slow and can freeze - hand gestures rarely work. plenty of positives however, refinement, interior space and quality, looks, engine, fuel economy, and seats are very supportive. I love the fact that there are so few about. I like the rarity.

Referring back to your springs that you fitted - you commented that you fitted spacers. was that for aesthetic purposes or for handling reasons ? wondering if I can lower without the spacers. Appreciate it would be more tucked under the arches without.

Good point on the lane departure turn off. it is annoying to have to disable it every trip. heater controls are fiddly ( for the digital climate models ) as you have to open up a separate menu. it’s still a good car though - and I do not regret buying it. Only seen 1 on the roads ever. Prefer rarer cars.

Sorry. I typed too quick ! I meant the black badge. where did you get it from ? Yes - it does have the black grille as standard - thankfully as it sounds a pain to change.

1.5 tsi Monte Carlo
Stellar answer - many thanks. I concur with your view on the MC, surely if it has the sports moniker it should really have this as standard. I will go down the spring route initially and if I get the same problems you had, will upgrade to bilsteins. if they last longer - perhaps they are upgraded as standard. will ask someone with partslink24 if they can see differing numbers for Shock absorbers dependent on model.

I was under the impression it was / is an expensive option ( certainly one I did not select )..
