That’s the problem, on the car when i click on enable wifi nothing happens. Then i went into the settings to search for wifi and enable it manually, no luck. Nothing is shown in the owners manual either…

How do i establish such wifi connection? When i click on smartlink in the menu, then carplay, it prompts me the messsage.

Hello, I just took delivery of a brand new VRS. As of now i hadn’t bothered with the carplay . Now i try to connect my phone wirelessly, and a prompt pops up saying i should turn on wifi via the infotainment to do so?? So i go into the countless menus and I swear i didn’t see wifi settings anywhere. Bluetooth audio works fine by the way. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting the phone, no luck. Checked my phone settings and carplay is enabled, it is connected to the car, however the car wants its wifi to be turned on?? Please advise.

Skoda themselves sell oem boot liner with 2 sides - carpet and rubber for the octavia. To my knowledge it’s not that expensive.

Dealer just called me, the car has been produced yesterday. No options were removed - canton, camera etc all fitted. Delivery in 2-3 weeks.

When I was configuring it the configurator still had it as an option, a month later when I checked it was gone. I asked the dealer if I had to remove it from my car, but he said it shouldn't be a problem. I don't know if it is country based or what...

I got in touch with the dealer today, said that he expects the car to be built I quote "any moment now/very soon", whatever that means. Asked if there is a provisional build week and/or VIN, no reply yet. Beginning of December he told me the car is either going to be built just before Christmas, or just after, but he expects it around end of January. Ordered Race Blue RS 245 petrol with blind spot, virtual pedal, canton, dcc, rear climate and heating around the end of October in Bulgaria.

Of course, what’s why I said this is just my speculation and understanding. Although I doubt Skoda are going to publicly admit the things I pointed out…

From my understanding of what i’ve read on this thread, Skoda are currently focusing on building the new orders (the ones that are not “awaiting for parts”) because when the magnesium runs out they still have cars to finish. Simultaneously they produce cars in batches e.g. week/month X cars for the UK market will be produced, month Y for the Greek market, etc. because of the logistics for delivery. Let’s say they produce 5 cars for the UK, 5 for Greece, 2 for Bulgaria. Delivery requires for example 25 cars per batch. It makes sense to produce cars in batches for certain markets. These are the reasons I think for certain people getting their cars before others, who ordered before them.

October 2021. Here in Bulgaria it was still an option in the configurator at the time of ordering. Soon after it disappeared. Dealer said nothing about removing it at a later date.

Spoke with the dealer today, RS TSI canton dcc camera virtual pedal ordered late october. 2 weeks ago the dealer said the car should be built just before Christmas or just after New Year’s. Today he said the car is supposed to be built week 49, which i find amusing considering the ongoing week is 49… He said he expects with all the delays the car to be built late january..

Hello, in Bulgaria the rear view camera is an option, the dealer said it was a possibility to give it up in order to speed up production, but nothing was certain. I asked him i were to to do that, am i going to be able ti fit it after the car has been built(retrofit of some sorts), to which he responded that he needed to get a vin to be sure, but in general it was possible. Nevertheless he told me go hold tight and wait and see what happens.

Hello, i am new to the forum but i will share my experience. Around the third week of October i went and ordered a new vRS, race blue, canton, rear view camera, blind spot, acc. The dealer told me around the timeframe for delivery was around 8-9 months realistically. I checked with them about 2 weeks later to discuss adding an option(which later i opted not to add) and asked if there were any news. He said that the car had been assigned to be built in the first week of january, but due to the problems with the rear view camera the build date was removed and he didn’t have any new information afterwards. Today i contacted him to ask if there were any changes (because of the topics of this thread) and to my surprise, he said that the estimated build date was around Christmas or a little after new years, although he couldn’t say anything for sure unless he got a vin number. He also said that removing the rear view camera wasn’t going to be necessary. No word on canton.
