  1. Hi all! Intermittently we would get the warning on dash saying “SOS Error -Call workshop”. The screen will also not turn on during this time. This warning goes away when we switch off the car for a period of time after driving. Besides a yellow warning triangle on the dash and screen not turning on there are no other symptoms. We have not driven the car much lately so I suspect it could be down to low battery, and will get a battery conditioner to see if it helps. Is the battery in the Skoda an AGM battery? Any good recommendations for quick battery charger? Also does anyone else has this issue? Seems intermittent and does not affect how the car drives.
  2. Stumbled across this excellent guide, deeply appreciated. I am planning to install 2 dashcams that are currently powered by USB instead of cigarette plugs. Is this achievable? My Kodiaq also has heated and electrically adjustable seats.
  3. I have recently installed a front and rear dashcam on my other car and I am really impressed with the quality and decide to install in the Kodiaq too. My other car has 2 USB slots to power the dashcams which switches off when the car ignition However the cigarette plug in the Skoda stays on even when the ignition is off. Does anyone know any options to power the dashcams? I need x2 USB as power source. edit: my Skoda is 19 reg
  4. Just checked again and the app is now working Quick question, does anyone know if it’s possible to access service history in the app? My other car is a Toyota and whilst the app itself is not as good as the Skoda app in terms of information and functionality, it does allow me to view digital service history records.
  5. I haven’t used the app in a while and decided to open it today after it was updated. I can login to the app on my iPhone however I cannot see my car’s data. App just says missing data and refreshing doesn’t help. Anyone else having issues with the app?
  6. Our current 3 mobile sim has ran out of data, so looking for any recommendations of a data only SIM card that will work in the Kodiaq. I’ve tried using another 3 SIM card from my other car, which I believe have some data left but unused for several weeks, but I can’t seem to connect to the internet.
  7. My Kodiaq is 2017 model the interior lights are all yellow bulbs 😞 Seen a few replacement bulb on eBay but would prefer recommendations for ones that work please.
  8. Hello! As the nights are getting darker I am looking to upgrade the interior lights to LED versions. Has anyone attempted this before and can kindly recommend suitable bulbs please?
  9. Slightly OT, does anyone know if this part opens up? Dropped some coins inside and be nice if I can get it out
  10. Found vent covers on Amazon and ordered. Not sure how well it will clip though so we shall see
  11. The vent as an S-shape near the entry so would be bit of a challenge to hoover it out. Managed to remove the pipe after lifting some of the carpet. I didn’t disconnect the wiring to the seats as it’s long enough to get the seats out of the way. Very fiddly job but not too bad.
  12. Finally removed the marble. It’s wedged in the right side foot well air duct. Metal marble as well so could’ve used a magnet but hey ho Didn’t remove all the trims, only enough to dislodge the vent. Will definitely buy mesh to cover the vent, any recommendations?
  13. @varoom : do you know how to remove this lever please? Seems tightly screwed in. Found the ball it’s in the middle section of the vent so need to remove carpets and trims. Any instructions appreciated
  14. Thanks again will have a go when I have a free weekend.
  15. Cheers. The floor pan in the second pic is most likely where the marble ended up, perhaps via a duct in the first pic. This is definitely very helpful, cheers! Hopefully not too challenging removing seats, trim and carpet to access the area. p/s: on the first pic, do you happen to have a diagram of where the downward cable leads to? Hopefully it’s a floor pan that looks similar to the second pic.
  16. Wow, that’s very helpful thanks so much for the quick reply. I will just unplug the connectors as advised as disconnecting battery might cause other issues. That picture is what I need cheers. Looks like there is a floor pan under the driver seat. Is there something similar for rear seat behind driver seat please? Sound is definitely coming from around that area. A bit flabbergasted as to how it got in there but definitely suspect through the channel of the wiring loom.
  17. Sorry for lack of replies, been busy few weeks. Finally had some time for a proper inspection, and I don’t think the marble went into the vents under the seat as they are leading upwards. I do notice however there is a wiring loom near the right side of seats that has ducting that leads to the floor pan. The sound is definitely coming from just under the driver seat, sounds like it’s rolling between the sill area (front and back). @varooom: Do you happen to have any diagrams for this wiring loom and perhaps what it leads to? Next step is to remove seats and carpets to see if there are any chance of reaching the said marble. Does anyone know if I need to disconnect batteries if removing seats please?
  18. The sound sounds like it’s coming from a small flat plastic tray underneath the driver side rear passenger seat. I cannot really tell from pictures as it only shows the vents, however is there such void where the vents lead to?
  19. Might consider vacuum before attempting to removing trims.
  20. Most excellent! Many thanks for this, greatly appreciated. I might have a go when I have some time. At least it looks like there should be a method of removing said marble, just a little effort required. edit: when it says “remove centre console” does it mean the whole console or just the transmission? Removing the entire centre console sounds a bit … difficult
  21. So after extensive listening by 3 independent witness it’s confirmed that the sound of the marble rolling is coming from behind the driver seat, under the rear passenger footwell. Educated guess would indicate the marble went through the vents under the driver seat. Would it be possible to remove? Had quick prod around and the bit under the vents looks sealed. Stumble across similar issue with stones on another forum and there were 2 solutions offered: 1) Drill 38mm hole(!!!) and fish it out with a stick with sticky viyd 2) Fairy liquid through vents so the stone sticks and stops making noise. Don’t fancy both options to be honest …
  22. Yes I did buy some but they keep coming off. Any good recommendations? also looks to be pain if it’s dropped inside. Lots of trim and carpet to remove.
  23. Cheers. I will try to have a look near the seat belt plug area. The rolling sounds like it’s on hard plastic. Checked all door pockets but no joy. Can only hear the sound when car is in motion so far but will try knocking on various trims
  24. Perhaps a long shot but thought I’d ask. My son dropped a marble in the car and I believe it’s rolled somewhere under the drivers seat. The sound sounds like it’s just behind the drivers seat. I’ve looked under the seats but cannot find the marble. Judging from the sound it’s rolling on hard plastic. Perhaps some kind of tray under the seats? There are a few vent holes so perhaps it’s rolled into the hole. I will have to have an empty car park and ask the wife to drive whilst I sit in the rear to try to pin point the exact location. Just wondering if by any chance someone here had same issue? From initial glance I would need to remove the seats, trims and carpet to access whatever is under the driver seat area. This looks like a lot of work and would want some advice for the best method to tackle this. Sound of the marble rolling around is really annoying :)
  25. So today finally got the mechatronic replaced under warranty. Minor service was due so I've got that done too. According to service history it's been almost 2 years(!) since the last one, so well due. The gear changes, especially from 1st definitely feels smoother now. No jerking. Weird thing is that whilst waiting for parts to come in, the car was driven around Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire and there were no errors at all. I'm relieved this is all sorted under warranty, and fingers crossed troublefree motoring ahead!
