  1. See this thread. Its a long one but has some gold in there.
  2. I have mine booked in to the dealer in a months time to see what they can come up with. The girl that booked it in said she had never heard of this problem which doesn't fill me with much hope Is the TPI linked above applicable to all Skodas? And should I give this to them when taking it in? I feel if I do, they'll just read the part that says temporarily disable travel assist and do nothing else. I use it (when its not playing up) so don't want to disable it, but the noise is driving me crazy.
  3. Yep it said something about an infotainment update. Not noticed anything different. Was naively hoping it would fix the 'travel assist not available' constant pinging even tho it's nothing to do with infotainment. It did not 😄
  4. As someone who has never had this, I feel like a fanboy. In your previous motors, why do you think it was quicker? I was expecting lines like the back window, but understand why that would look terrible.
  5. I paid extra for this functionality and am not disappointed! Maybe it's me coming from a 18 year old motor to new, but I don't think so. Yes, it takes maybe a few (5?) minutes, however I can relax in my heated seat while it happens 😄 Then just stick the wipers on for a min and it's all gone. Unless the car has an inbuilt blowtorch, I don't think it could be quicker.
  6. My phone has randomly disconnected a few times in the last week or two. Didn't used to happen. No idea if it was caused by recent updates or not.
  7. Hi all. I decided to sign up for the 5 year 100k extended warranty for my new 1.5 TSI SE L. Haven't actually paid for it, but will have to this week as its with the dealers, assuming I decide to go ahead. There is no way I'll hit 100k in 5 years due to being permanently working from home now. Are there any gotchas with this? Or is the warranty the same as the 3 years? I could ask the dealer, but pretty sure the hive mind here will give me better info. Paying £575 if that matters. I feel this is a good investment for any future problems. Surely after 5 years the software will be stable?! Didn't take up the the £349 Autoglym.... Cheers.
  8. Thanks and yeah that's fair. Can't even remember now if that's what the dealer told me, or something I made up to make myself feel better 😀 Don't suppose any of you know if dealers update the software prior to giving you the motor or I need to hound them for it?
  9. First post here. Been following this thread since mid Sept 2021 when I ordered my SEL 1.5 TSI Estate, and was starting to regret my choice! Pleased to report I have been told it will now be in the UK in 4 weeks. It's been 90% complete for months so happy it's finally done. There is hope, people 😀
