  1. There are many, so here is the link with almost all available manufacturers: https://www.pocket-lint.com/best-wireless-android-auto-adapter/. I personally used Ottocast and I was very much satisfied. Only some devices supports both android auto and carplay. Some you can buy at Amazon, however not all.
  2. You have to pay for it, as there is no mib3 patch. There is cable Smartlink, which you can extend with 3rd party dongles for around 100e or buy the license from Skoda for Wireless Smartlink. Initially, I used 3rd party dongle. However, later on, I paid for the license to get back one usb-c. BTW, don't forget to update the Bolero software to the latest 1800 version, so the latest samsung mobile phones can work without any problems.
  3. My dealer did all updates for free. Though I bought initially car with a prolonged warranty 5 instead of 2 years. However, it should not make any difference.
  4. Any updates available or recommended for OCUGen3Low? Details are the following: identifier J949, hardware version H14, hardware (and software) number 5WA035282, software version 0092 and odb11 does not show there is a newer version. I assume low goes in pair with swing/bolero and high for amundsen and above.

    Which Kamiq?

Anyhow, one must press the gas padel harder to accelerate faster. Before the change, when I pressed the gas pedal, it took about ~1 second before the car reacted. After the change, the car responds instantly. My approach is to get more boost and pull my leg from the gas pedal if it's already enough, not the other way around.

Yes, all changes are done via the OBD port. You can learn more about the odb11 device on the following site: Products (obdeleven.com). You need a PRO plan to change all options yourself or just the device and credits to use existing applications. The mentioned one exists under Throttle Pedal Response. You can install the app on your mobile to see what applications already exist for which car model. All changes can be reverted. I have not heard that this option went wrong for anybody. However, you do it on your own. Still, the same changes can be done via ODIS, the official VAG software. However, probably not at official services PS. There is another option and app called Increased Engine Responsiveness, which I haven't used. It is recommended only for the 1.5 model, but it can throw some errors. I wouldn't suggest using it.

The hesitation can be fixed by changing software settings, i.e., throttle pedal rensponse, e.g., using obd11. The option simply changes the application of throttle from exponential to linear. Whoever drove or was a passenger in my 1.0 DSG was thinking it was a 1.5. My godfather also fixed the same issue on his SuperB — more about it in other article. .
  8. I presume for Amundsen infotainment system? Not even the new Kamiq facelift?
  9. I'm not aware of it. However, the best approach would be to ask your dealer about it. I don't know about newer Kamiqs, but you can buy additional features via infotainment in newer Octavias.
  10. Finally! The good news is that the total price, including the product and the service time, was 129€. What I understood was that the first time, I didn't have the latest version, 1800. On the 2nd try, I had the newest version. However, the code was not valid anymore, as they lasted only 3 months after one tried it via ODIS. Last week, Skoda regenerated codes for the services, and this time, there was already the latest option, and with active codes, it went very fast in 15 minutes.
  11. On Friday, it will be the 3rd time my dealer is trying to activate Wireless Option für Serien SmartLink (skoda-tuning.com). This time, finally, after some involvement of Skoda @Czech - how I understood they regenerated codes for the ODIS activation procedure. The previous time, they updated my Bolero to the 1800 version before trying activation. I'll let you all know if it was successful this time!!
  12. I don't know if you are referring mainly to me. However, my car is still under warranty, as is yours, and I've insisted that the dealer apply every update so far, and it was always free of charge. I paid a much lower price for Ottocast since it was in the crowdfunding phase then.
  13. Initially, I checked everything apart from (PR code 9WT and I8P or I8Q) whether it would apply to my car, and I ticked off all the boxes. Afterward, the dealer did it once, and after the 1st failure, I asked him to do it again, and everything was fulfilled. My car was produced in 2021, with a Bolero unit ending with D, now the last software 1800. After the 2nd failure, I told him not to bother anymore. However, he insisted, if somebody contacts him back from Czech Republic he would inform me ASAP. My trim is Clever, basically Ambition with a handful extra options, but less than Style, so I'm wondering if that's the problem. However, it shouldn't be, since Skoda produced my car, and I haven't done it my garage.
  14. Just to report that a few days before New Year my dealer got official information from Skoda about the 1800 version in Germany. Today we successfully did update of the Bolero infotainment, so I can finally use my A54 for AA. However, the activation of the wifi smartlink failed as the last time. I believe I'm doomed using ottocast for wifi smartlink. Maybe it's not a bad solution as I can use it in other cars. The dealer told me that after almost 2 months there is no feedback from Czech Republic, so today he opened a new ticket. The saga continues...
  15. I haven't bought a wheel replacement kit (got car with the repair kit and huge ), but an aftermarket space saver spare 15" wheel (have a set of 16" alu wheels for summer 15" steel wheels for winter) with a cover and put some addiitonal things like show chains, tire pump, etc. on top of it, to utilize the whole space for the spare wheel My goal wasn't to pay less, but to use the most of the spare wheel space as the trunk is not that huge 😞
