I am having often reported problems of electronics going wrong after a battery change. VAG specialist with excellent feedback says "Checked for battery management and the vehicle does not have this feature installed".

I have an Autophix 7610 scanner which says the vehicle is not equipped with a battery regulation system  but to select "Gateway" to give battery information. I have tried that myself but the problems still persist.

Should I mention this to the garage in case their system can do better?

Your car 100% has a battery management system. The configuration for it is within the adaptations in the diagnostic gateway

It needs to know the battery type, capacity and a serial number

thing is, the water pipe that is attached to the camera has a 3 way connector at the end of it, one male, one female, and one which is possibly female but has a loose red plug in it. I'm thinking that its is something to do with the ability to wash just the camera (theres a button to do that in the camera menu) I'm trying to find the oem part number of the camera they fitted atm, but struggling! I klnow it was an audi part, as i saw the box, but didnt think to get the part number before he buttoned the car back up 🤦‍♂️

If your car has a rear washer, and you've got a wash button on screen; the camera is incorrectly coded. The camera will be washed with the rear wiper so there's 0 need for the button. The button is for cars without a rear washer.

If your car doesn't have a rear wiper, then the above part isn't going to work for you as you'll need to run a hose to the washer bottle.

We have them in stock, we can make them to any length. Do you know what length you need?

    if I recall correct…

The infotainment information is a drop in the ocean really. There's 20+ other control modules on the vehicle

Update: Skoda called me, apparently they can see error codes from the app.

    wanted 50 € to test the 12 v battery.

went to my own mechanic, they tested v12 and high volt. No issues at all.

he said he saw plenty of error codes.

somehow he say issues with reverse camera, I don’t have any..

Control box, guessing it was MCU and campus communication issues.

No explanation as to why the car lost all power. Normally it turns of if I just leave the car for 10-15 sec. So don’t really understand how it could happen 😞

Something is way off with this car.

    attaching software and hardware versions…

    Again,

There's 20+ other control modules on the vehicle. They all have their own software

I have posted a pic of the park assist module (well thats where the park assist module should be) but a search says its a tow bar module.

The parking sensor control module is located in the drivers footwell next to the accelerator pedal as mentioned above

We’d be happy to take a look at this for you

    Dear all,

    Car key reprogramming:

My Skoda Kodiaq with VIN number:  REDACTED has an official key with code REDACTED.

I found this one to be expensive and ordered another from a dealer, paying a high price.

However, upon complete technical analysis, as I am a programmer myself, I found a second-hand key from a Kodiaq with VIN number: REDACTED, with key code: REDACTED AIF, featuring the same chip. I paid very little for this one.

Now, this REDACTED AIF key needs to be reset or, let's say, reformatted and reprogrammed to my car.

Is this possible remotely? It seems unlikely.

If it's possible, how and by whom? If not, why not?

If it is possible, what software and toolkit are needed for this chip?

    Thank you.Aykut

You need to buy a new key partially pre programmed for your vehicle. It can then be adapted to the immobiliser using ODIS

The car won’t allow it to be adapted to the unless it already contains data related to it.

I'm sure it is. But am I correct in thinking that there is no piping for the camera washer if the rear wiper isn't installed? I thought the camera washer using the pipework for the rear window washer and is tapped in.

There's no piping for vehicles without a rear washer, however we keep genuine hose and fittings in stock as we connect the washer on cars with a rear wiper.

Yes, to on-screen functions. Brightness, gamma, and dynamic lines that move with the wheel all work as expected from OEM. Works in conjunction with my front and rear parking sensors, too.

My car doesn't have a rear wiper and, hence, no washer jet for the window, so the camera doesn't have a washer jet to clean. I clean my car pretty regularly, so this isn't a deal breaker for me personally.

Unless you're a dab hand at some plumbing I'm not sure any retrofitted will want to take that task on

Its easily done, just additional costs that most customers won’t want to pay

I think my car may have a 0 kg DTW what should I do the towbar was fitted by the dealer when I bought the car but has always been a poor tow vehicle for my caravan

If it does, you cannot legally tow anything over 0kg 👀👀
