    Hi, At the 5 year service late last year my local Skoda dealer recommended that I have the cambelt on my Octavia 1.4 TSI replaced (it's done 50k miles). I was told it would be "about £500". I didn't agree to it at the time as I wanted to think about it. I approached them last week for a quote and was told it would be £768. Not sure what's going on there, but now looking into finding an independent garage to do it, assuming that it's actually something that a general garage would manage (I haven't started checking yet).
