Everything we do ourselfs come at risk, nice that you found the TPI for the update @TheWanderer My car is out of warranty i bought it 2 months ago 2020 1st edition with 1806 FW LG. Updated the unit from 1806 to 1941 without issues, even helped one mate that bought octavia and he had 0 issues going from 1898. Sometimes this week i will update to newest, just need the time to do it. But there is still risk of bricking the unit so beware. Just wanted to share my experience.

Hello members I am facing issue with my mk4 combi/estate octy 1st edition. After locking and unlocking car, electric trunk wont open 1st try on its own. I open the trunk any way possible (key, leg swipe or button) and the trunk just moves 1cm, beeps and latches back. Next opening (right after the 1st) it opens perfectly fine. What ive done: •changed the lock (orginal vag part) •diagnosed the 6D control unit however found 0 fault codes. •looked at live data while the boot was opening and found both motors run at the same time with the same current draw. •lock status was changing but when the beep happens the lock was in the safety latch state. (This is why I changed the lock) Any help would be apreciated!
