  1. I attacked this again this morning after googling it as I didn't realise the nozzle is only a push fit. After removing the shroud I eased the nozzle off and then purged the pipeline until it ran clear I then gave the nozzle a good clean and blow through and its now reffitted and working ok. I just need to adjust the two jets slightly as the upper jet is now slightly too high so missing the rear screen whilst the lower jet is just hitting the bottom of the hole in the shroud.👍
  2. I've had this issue for over a year now on my 2020 Octavia. Pump is definitely ok as I can hear it spinning and I get water to front washers and even the rear camera nozzle, but not a drop from the rear screen nozzle. Tried clearing it with a pin and wire but no luck. Not MOT failure so keep leaving it but annoying occasionally.
  3. From what I've read Michelin Primacy are supposed to be ok but they are very expensive. I've gone with Conti Contacts this time around as I've had them before and they were fine. The Dunlop Sportmaxx have been shocking. I checked my paperwork yesterday evening and the 2nd set were fitted only 20 months ago and actually covered less than 10k miles. Wear on zll ttres was fine but they cracks were shocking.
  4. Booked to get some Conti Contact Sport 7's fitted tomorrow (+4 wheel alignment). I've had the Conti's before on prevous saloons I've owned and never had a problem. I wish I'd gone with these when I last changed them out two years ago. I'll never buy Dunlop again.
  5. I have had a similar issue with these Dunlop Sportmaxx tyres on my Octavia. I've now gone through two full sets in only 25k miles since 2019. In both cases wear has not been a problem, all have failed due to cracking. I replaced the original tyres in 2023 at 13k miles and the replacement set have now all been raised as an advisory in a recent MOT. I certainly wont be buying Dunlop again. Can anyone recommend something more durable I only cover about 5k miles a year?
  6. Yet another case of technology advancing at a pace that the manufacturers can't keep up with. My Mk3 Octavia has had this fault a couple of times in my two years of ownership (mainly after or during journeys in bad weather when the sensor has been obscured by road crud). Previously this fault has reset after a car clean but sadly not this time. No knocks or scrapes it came on as as before after some poor weather. It really annoys me that a simple reset can cost so much money or that some dealerships simply admit that they can't even do it! What sort of customer service is that? but I suppose its a good "cash cow" for continued, repeat business for those that have the money to shell out. I so wish I had a good, old fashioned cruise control with no fancy gismos.
  7. Sorry if this is a silly question but if rear fog lamp bulbs are fitted to each side why are they both not activated? Seems daft to me. My Octavia is up for its first MOT tomorrow and I've been dashing around this afternoon trying to get a replacement because I thought my near side fog had blown.
