  1. +1 on this - The hoses break down internally (invisible from the outside), and act as a rudimentary non-return valve. I've had this before - usually in brake hoses, but also - in a clutch line on an R1 Yamaha. As you've already removed the restrictor this is the only possible "one-way" restriction I can think of that could be left. Good luck with fixing the problem!
  2. Also here - https://www.skoda-parts.com/catalog/fabia/spare-parts-579.html - this is where I got mine, but they're in Czech Republic so I bought two of each (bound to break again, and they're dead cheap) and a few other bits and pieces, to justify shipping charges. Great service, though.
  3. Part numbers for replacements for the hatchback are; 6Q0 885 644 47H Drawbar for Folding Out the Right Backseat 6Q0 885 643 47H Drawbar for Folding Out the Left Backseat Only a few quid each
  4. Yep, it has the Xenons, which is a bit of a worry considering the price of/difficulty in finding replacements...... But, hopefully, No1 son won't smack the front of it!
  5. Thanks very much Pete. I had no idea what to call it, to try to do a search on it. Will have to try to think up a use for it 🙂
  6. Hi All You'll have to forgive my ignorance - first Fabia, and not had it all that long - but what on earth is this slider/drawswitch allegedly turning on? In the coin tray thingy, below the light switch, with no labelling at all, and I can't see anything going on or off whilst I move the thing back and forth. Your wisdom is much appreciated........ Cheers Dean
  7. I assume 852 has now bitten the dust, as I've recently bought it's seats.....
  8. Hi All We've recently gotten a 2005 VRS for our son, which has the white(?)/black seats in it. I've managed to find a decent set of LE seats, which are currently winging their way to us. The standard seats are in pretty good order, as car has only covered just over 60K miles. My question is; Are these standard seats sought after by people wanting originality, and therefore have some inherent value, or once I've got them out should I just take them down to the local tip? Cheers Dean
  9. Bought! Thanks very much Tech1e - had been looking on eBay, but was searching on the part number and hadn't found anything 👍👍
  10. Hi All Does anyone know if this chap is still doing this/who he is? Just gotten a MK1 VRS for my son, and will need one of these when we change the head unit. Many thanks Dean
  11. Hi All - Long time lurker (great info on here transferable onto the VWs, SEATs currently in our stable), first time poster. Had loads of VAG group vehicles over the past thirty-odd years, but never a Skoda before. Off to look at a MKI Fabia VRS for my son's first car, tomorrow, so may well be joining the ranks! All the best Dean
